Christian life

We realize that everyone has a direction and a dictation of the path to take in achieving their heart's desires in this world thanks to the principles of beliefs that guide our Christian lives. (Etzel & Gutierrez, 2014). The Bible basically equates the words "belief" and "doctrine" in the sense that "belief" is an understanding of what constitutes our lives and the principles that determine what we want to presume automatically incorporates into ourselves. Doctrine refers to the rules that direct views through learning or instruction. Therefore, the two words are similar in their meaning and depiction of what they stand for. The belief that God created all human beings in his image and likeness has a lot of impact in the way people choose their vocations (Sullivan, 2013). In other words, this belief is a primary guide on how people choose their fields of specialization and interactions with the aim of achieving the equality that God depicted in his creation. The belief that God created all in his image guides the day-to-day professional practice in all vocations.

The foundation of Christian faith is the belief is that we are all created in the image of the Lord. My vocation is a psychologist counselor. In my major, I have the opportunity to reach out to the people who are mentally disturbed and enrich them with hope in carrying on with their lives. I will employ this belief in accomplishing my vocation based on the principles of being kind, patient, trustful and understanding. I, therefore, plan to use my Christian faith and the belief that we are created in the image of the Lord in reaching out to help others and honor God in some ways (Scholes, 2013).

Example One

The field of psychological counseling is very engaging and should be dealt with alt of empathy and consideration. It is an opportunity to help others overcome their difficult moments by giving them hope. In that context, therefore, there is need to recognize the belief of being created in the image of the Lord. With this understanding, I stand to understand that we are all destined to have a common life. Therefore, I will strive to help others who are mentally distressed to come to terms with their situations and overcome them. Based on my understanding of my psychological work, I will respect the need to satisfy other’s needs by keeping up the codes and ethics of conduct that state that honesty should guide my work, morals and trustworthy on what I should deliver to my clients (In Nworie, Latunde, Lee, Freeman, DomNwachukwu & Hetzel, 2016). I will therefore at all times remember my objective of equalizing others needs and strive to satisfy their mental needs through a process that will measure up to the belief that mankind is created in the image of the Lord and therefore should share the same condition of life. By being honest, trustworthy and confident with those, I work with will show that we all share in the image of the Lord and therefore should strive to help each other come to terms with life (Etzel & Gutierrez, 2014).

Example Two

In my vocational achievement, I know that I will encounter many people who are from different ethical backgrounds diversified in culture and upbringing. I wish to employ my Cristian belief of being created in the image of the Lord to administer my help to them (Etzel & Small, 2016). I, therefore, wish to recognize and uphold the [principle of respect when dealing with all these people. Due to the call of the Lord to respect everyone as a show that we appreciate his image in the way we deal with his creation will be a guide to me on the way I handle challenging situations when dealing with people from different backgrounds. I, therefore, believe that by respectful to everyone I deal with will be helping me come to terms with what God says about his creation being on a similarity that should be respected. In that sense, by showing respect to everyone I deal with is a clear indication that I respect and honor God as well and his creation. I would in that context be upholding the principles of kindness, care, understanding and respect to God, my co-workers and myself (Entwistle, 2015).

Conclusion

In conclusion, by engaging the belief that humankind is created in the image of the Lord in my psychological counseling vocation, I stand to achieve maximum success in facilitating my professional desires while at the time respecting God’ wish. Therefore, by engaging the principles that govern my work will show the people were dealing with that, I share in their distress and problems (Campbell, In Ehrensperger & In Tucker, 2010). I believe that my vocation is critically integrated into the Christian belief that we should care for each other due to our similarity in our creation. With that in mind, my vocation will strive to bring others’ needs under control and make them live valuable lives.
