Importance of incorporating cultural sensitivity in interaction
Communication entails the exchange of information. This can either be done through text messages, through email or via communication. However, it worth recognition that not every person is of the same origin, several business associates are from the diverse background. The values ethics that these different people observe in various scenarios of life are different. Putting this into consideration, it is worth recognizing that the speech we make in any sector, especially for business associates should proceed with moderation(Moran, Abramson, " Moran, 2014). This paper, therefore, looks at various aspects as to why it is important to incorporate cultural sensitivity in communicating business issues.
Since people are of different origin, the perception of every person takes the directions of his or her culture. Some aspect of communication may sound offensive to these people with reference to their cultural setting. This may affect the flow of idea in the process of communication as they may feel undermined or underrated by such wordings or expressions(Moran et al., 2014).
In some cultures also, the use of some images are also offensive to the listeners. If this is not considered, the client may end up getting annoyed hence cannot be able to take any action under that discussion seriously hence, the company may end up losing clients. Unifying the customers is the mission for the progress of any company with an aim of making profits(Ting-Toomey, 2012). The customers' needs and interest should be taken into deeper and keen consideration.
Keeping the clients by not offending their perceptions and ways of analyzing this culturally keeps the strength of the entire organization, hence maximizing the market command for this company goods and services and hence good social considerations and rating among other competitor companies(Bunge, 2012).
