We have both good and bad news for you. We'll start with the bad news because, as the saying goes, "save the best for last."
Unprofessionalism by Employees
We regret to inform you that there have been several cases of unprofessionalism by employees who have used the internet for personal reasons. Any staff has used the internet to play games, download personal files, and engage in social networking.
Internet use for the above tasks, as well as other leisure, uses that have little to do with productivity during working hours, is strictly forbidden. During lunch breaks and after work hours is allowed, but we urge you to remain responsible or we may have to rethink of policies.
Last week, our internet was exhausted and its speeds capped due to high unofficial use by some employees. We are thinking of introducing a new policy that will fine employees that are found using the internet for personal use during work hours. The fine will be deducted directly from their salaries. We would like to know what your opinions are before finalizing the policy.
We will also be installing a software that will be blocking and detecting any unofficial usage during work hours. The software will only run during work hours, that is from 8.30 to 1pm and from 2 pm to 5pm. In case of any breaches of this policy, the supervisor of the violator department shall be informed.
Please note that we have no intention to invade on your privacy or disrupt your work environment. We did not wish to implement these policies but we were forced by some employees. We believe that our worker should be free and work in the most comfortable environment.
The good news
The good news is we are ordering new equipment for all our employees. We feel that our current equipment has served us well for the 5 years we have been using them. We also feel that the new equipment will help us get an upper hand over our competitors.
This new equipment is also our simple way of thanking you for your great years of service. We acknowledge that not many organizations have the privilege of having such dedicated and loyal employees. That is why we have seen it fit to ensure that you have the best working environment and latest technology. Your happiness mean everything to us.

All employees will get new adjustable 4k monitors. Being a Design firm we know how important it is for you to have high-res monitors. This will give you the best resolution available in the market and assist you in creating sharper designs.
We will also be bringing in new office desks that will have more than the usual features. The desks will feature a water holder. We know how much a trip to the water fountain can disrupt you from your focus. The water holder will be in a position where it cannot spill on your workspace. We don't want you destroying your new equipment.
We understand how stressful it may be to sit for long hours, and we don't believe that only the managers and supervisors should have the most comfortable seats. We believe that all employees are equal, and everyone's health is of great importance. That is why we will be getting every employee the most comfortable seats in the market.
