Episodic approach in the analysis of the film would involve focusing on an individual. A thematic approach on the others side would mainly focus on the issue. There are many other differences that would see the difference in the two approaches. The episodic approach in tackling a story or creating a movie would also focus on a single event. The thematic approach focuses on the trends of event over time. The focus on the thematic approach may be of a current single event but it look as how the event has evolved over time (Haffner, 78). In social issues, an episodic approach would look at the private realm of an individual while the thematic framework focus on the public and their surrounding and public institutions. Solving problem through these approaches also differs in terms of their view on audience. An episodic approach would look at the audience as their consumers while the thematic approach would look at the audience as citizens.
A more effective approach
In making a movie, an episodic approach would be effective. Through the approach, focus on the real life of an individual makes it interesting. The lives are reduced to a series of disconnected episodes, case studies or random events (Haffner, 105). The approach makes the content of the episodes interesting and the viewers would want to get more and more all the time. Since most of the films and movies would be more about media and entertainment, the episodic approach becomes the best approach.
Fixing the problem of a person experiencing problem is more valuable as fixing the condition in which the problem is experienced. The characteristic makes the episodic approach more appropriate in telling stories. A film is more interesting when the episodes are about fixing the problem that an individual may have rather than trying to fix the condition of that individual. From the reasons above, the episodic approach remains effective as through its focus, most of the goals of a film can be achieved.
Public access television
Public access television is important in delivering information to the public. Considering the fact that only a few households are connected to fast internet access in their homes, they need a media through which they can learn about what is in the public domain. Community media is important as through its application, issues and people are brought together which could not be understood or accessed whey they were not available.
It is through the public access televisions that people have the opportunity to come across something new and unique when they decide to watch inside editions. Every time they are aired, there is something new for the public learn. The same information can be available over the internet but not all households could afford learning from the platform.
Communication organizations staying relevant
There is need for organizations such as SPNN to stay relevant in the current technologically changing environment. One of the strategies is to be available to the consumers all the time. The products of the organization should be made available when the consumers need them. The organization should also ensure that through its activities it is able to provoke engagement. The others media follow trends and for businesses such as SPNN to stay relevant, there’re is need to have an ideal brand presence. Fun is another important element in the operation of media. These organizations should ensure they create fun and enjoyment to their consumers.
