Christianity is one of the most ancient and world spread, people in one way or another become acknowledged with the fundamental conceptions of this religion. I am not an exception: before the material processing. I knew a few Christianity conceptions, practices, and beliefs. However, there are always more to learn: I found the material concerning the Christianity practices more full than I used to perceive. Moreover, the conception of the Trinity became more complicated for me. These materials inspired me for the new researches: I would like to learn more about the history of the Christianity church, its directions, and streams.
All people who live in the Christianity society in one way or another became acknowledged with the basic principles of the Christianity. Taking these facts into account, the materials presented in the chapters were not unfamiliar for me. I was acknowledged with the conceptions of sin, the Holy Trinity, churches divide, practices of baptism and worships. Moreover, the ideas of God Son, God Holy Spirit, and God Father are familiar to me. However, there were few nuances such as formal kinds of worship (Sacramental, Reformed, and Charismatic)(Roberson). Besides, some days of the calendar were new for me: such days as Ash Wednesday and Pentecost were unfamiliar for me before.
There was more unfamiliar material for me in the presented chapters above the days and unknown worships. The wholly new material for me was a presence of an active discussion concerning the nature of Jesus, God, and the Trinity. I knew that these conceptions are the core of the Christianity, but I did not know that there were so much arguing concerning the religion pillars. Besides, the conception of the Holy Trinity. I used to perceive this entity as three aspects of God. However, such view was incorrect, and I found more complex and wide explanation of the essence of the Trinity.
The information concerning the divide in the Church, the great schism, and heretical streams within the religion-inspired me to learn more about the history of the Church and the religion. Usually, this subject is perceived as an element of more significant historical shifts or as a part of the cultural dimension of a certain period. There were a few major events related to the Christianity Church, but they do not reflect the whole picture. Besides, I became interested in the question of heresies. For example the heresy of tritheism:”The idea that the three persons of the Trinity are separate individuals is the heresy of tritheism(The Trinity,2011). If there are different recognized variations of the church than why any other variations of the revelations interpretations are considered as something dangerous? This question has bigger interest for me at the current moment.
Finally, the nature of the Holy Trinity. Theological discussion on the subject is the topic which I want to study closer. The unity of three entities which present one God but they are not separate. The Trinity puzzle is out of ordinary logic, and there were a lot of discussions concerning its nature. In order to study at least of a piece of understanding of the religion core, the conception of the Trinity should be mastered in a more attentive way. These elements of the material were the most interesting for me.
