            Nissan Motor Company Ltd officially began automobile manufacturing in 1933 as Jidosha-Seizo Company an affiliate of Tobata Casting. In June 1934, Yoshisuke Aikawa (one of the founders) changed the company’s name to Nissan Motor Company Ltd as he separated the automobile manufacturing division from Tobata Casting (NISSAN MOTOR Co. Ltd). In 1966 Nissan Motor Company Ltd merged with Prince Motor Company.
