The "Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity"
The "Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity" is an extremely hilarious and resonant play that was scripted by Kristoffer Diaz in 2009, although it made its debut in the production industry three years later. It was first performed in one of the most memorable productions at Boca Raton's Caldwell Theatre Company. Fundamentally, the play revolves around the main character, Mace, who has carved a career for himself in boxing by assuming the role of a guy who always loses to make the winner look good (Diaz 35).
The Centre of theatre Emory
The Centre of theatre Emory gave one of the best performances of this award-winning best play movie and a finalist for the Pulitzer the previous year. Alongside being extremely entertaining and thrilling, the Emory theater flaunted a masterpiece and colorful performance that took the audience by surprise while underlining some of the major themes of the play as they are viewed from the lens of this unique but colorful way of life.
The Show
The show for the "The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity" took the stage with a spirited and eye-catching introduction that left the audience yearning for more. It was a thoroughly rousing staging that was masterminded by the director of Emory. At the far end of the stage, one could easily see the well-cast actors who arranged themselves incredibly in smart rows and columns that allowed the architecture of the wrestling ring to ensure that the audience was treated to the most memorable and exciting entrance they have seen in years. What followed was a masterful performance, particularly from the main actor, Mace, who managed to electrify the audience with his skillful acting and mastery of the script. Designed to lose matches to the swaggering Chad Deity, who is a wealthy African-American, Mace managed to perform his role exemplary well, making Chad look like he was indeed good although he was nowhere near being a wrestler.
Fascinating Section
Interestingly, the entire Emory team led by their creative team managed to make Chad Deity a captivating multimedia experience that was characterized by flashy decorations that introduced an aura of professional wrestling while conveying the themes of the play in a more convenient manner. However, the most fascinating section came in the event of watching the violent appearing moves in the ring with most of the audience fearing that some of the blows will end up hurting the actors. Nevertheless, the cast turns out to be sublime with the performance reaching its climax when Mace sympathetically opens up on his past and dreams as the audience follows the actions through his eyes.
Compelling Story
This turns out to be a compelling story that is not only interesting but also educating. Importantly, the Chad Deity reflects a series of themes with the main revolving around professional wrestling. The play goes further to explore the racial, sociopolitical, and psychological aspects that are used to influence the winners in these sports whereby results are often predetermined. Watching the show again leaves one pondering whether the scriptwriter was reflecting on the dark side of this profession or he was just making fun of the colored people in the country.
Conclusion
Conclusively, watching the show was an extremely enjoyable experience that left the audience with a lot of memories. Credit should be given to the scriptwriter and, in particular, the Emery theatre for making this event a desirable one. Indeed, watching the show made most of us understand the reason why the saying goes that: "Every man in the audience has a deep, abiding desire to get into that ring."
