Synoptic gospels creed

We have faith in God the Father, who made the heavens and the world, and in Jesus Christ, who is the only Son of God and the Son of God. The Son of God is not merely God's helper. Jesus was the Son of God from the moment of creation because he was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. Jesus is to be honored as God because he is God's son. Jesus Christ has a close bond with God the Father. He therefore occupies the heavenly end of the human/divine divide. He is the one who announces God's will and dispatches the prophets credited with expressing God's knowledge. (Elliott, 2015). Jesus Christ is the divine warrior, the heavenly throne, creation and the new creation. Thus He is equal to God. He shares God's power, authority, and glory and he is worshiped just like the Father Almighty. Born in a humble place to humble parents shows that Jesus was a humble human being. But the Son of God is a heavenly figure who comes in the glory that is equal to God's.

The Son of God started his ministry at a young age, was baptized by John the Baptist. He performed several miracles with divine powers that no other claimed prophet ever managed. This showed how mighty the true God is. His work angered the kings, was put through suffering by Pontius Pilate, was crucified and died. Jesus had to be a man to suffer and die and had to be God so that his death would pay for our sins.

Jesus was buried, descended to hell, and on the third day, He rose again from the dead. He later ascended into heaven. He now sits on the right hand of God the Father Almighty from where he shall come to judge the living and the dead on their sins (Church, 2017).

Christology

Many cults and world religions claim to believe in Jesus, but they do not believe in the Jesus Christ presented in the bible. This creed would have improved the study of the Person and work of Jesus Christ. It gives the responses to numerous questions about Christ with God. It presents Jesus' story from birth to the end, with proven evidence of His work that exhibited God's power and glory on earth.

It counters the view of Arian and gives clarifications on unclear elements in the Nicene Creed. Through his parables and miracles He performed, it was evident to the doubts that He was a true God. People would have to believe in the sense that He was God's manifest in human form. Although Christ never uttered the words 'I am God,' He mentioned several statements that couldn't be interpreted to mean anything else other than Godly.

The understanding of 'who is Jesus' would change major religious teachings. Jesus is presented as a true prophet of God that is, the sender of the prophets. He represented God's will in His work to the people. Through Him, the followers would believe in one powerful Almighty God. His teachings and prophecies showed that Jesus was more than just a prophet, a good teacher, and a godly man. His glory and power through his ministry would change peoples' perceptions about Him and alter their view in line with the realization that He is a real Son of God sent to earth by the mighty Father.

Jesus showed love for all God's people that indicated the everlasting love of God. He was arrested, tried and crucified for the sins of humankind. This invites the thinking that Jesus was sent by God to bring salvation to all people. His death, resurrection, and ascension to heaven prove the fact that Jesus was divine. This altogether changed the views about Jesus concerning God's glory (Teal, 2017).

Christianity

Through synoptic gospel creed, Christianity would be changed considerably. Many religions have divided believes concerning Jesus Christ. The synoptic gospels narrate and interpret the history of Jesus. This harmonizes the religions' believe in Christianity and the teachings about the coming of Jesus. Christians attach firm belief in Jesus as the Son of God and savior to humankind.

All Christians would now start worshiping Jesus just like God because He shares the power and glory of the Almighty Father. Prayers would be conducted in the name of Jesus Christ the Son of God. There would be a sense of unity among all Christians with the view of serving one God through Jesus Christ, the savior of all people. Through this general belief and historical prove about Jesus, Christianity would register higher numbers of followers with the view of worshiping a true God.

The Biblical understanding of Jesus Christ is crucial to the salvation of people in Christianity. Jesus was baptized as a show of being restored or made new. To be saved Christians are getting baptized as a process of getting rid of their sins. This baptismal practice across all Christianity religions indicates unity in the salvation process. The death and resurrection of Jesus give Christians hope that there exist everlasting life after death in the kingdom of God.

Christians would start taking the Holy Communion that is celebrating the Passover of Jesus. It would represent the body and blood of Jesus. This would be as a way of cleansing themselves before God. They would pray in the name of Jesus to seek forgiveness of their sins before taking it. This practice unites all believers of Christ with the hope that He will come back to judge them (Elliott, 2015).
