Role of Education Policy in Resolving the Needs of Students from Diverse Backgrounds
Education policy has a role to play in resolving the negative needs of students from diverse backgrounds in society. By promoting the accomplishment of the kids' dreams, the school system controls a little of the inequalities in the schooling of young children. The school promotes equality by providing the resources needed to give disadvantaged children with their peers the same chance. The speculation that the standard of education in racial schools differs is consistent with the findings on the growing education gap across the country (Ikpa & McGuire, 2008). The education system acts as part of resolution creation when it comes to the challenges of socioeconomic status. The education policy provides a lasting solution to the economic disparity through the providence of equal education opportunity. The education policy reduces the differences between the rich and the power through enlightening the poor on economic matters. The full implementation of the education policy will result in the reduction of racial disparities in the education sector. Hence, the belief that the education policy has a central role in fostering children's achievements is deemed logical.
Creating a Fair School Culture
The school culture needs to create an environment that demonstrates the need of students to value each other irrespective of disparity in their diversities. Hence, the instructional design, sporting activities, behaviors, and treatment should reflect a fairness for all students. However, the cultural diversity of learning institutions led to the menace of ethnic disparities. The belief of racial superiority does not recognize the roles of the minority races. For example, it is difficult to comprehend the achievements of the blacks since their accomplishments are only studied in the black students' schools. Most of the school's deficiency alleges that black students perform poorly compared to the whites since the learning institutions are designed to favor the middle class and the wealthy majority children. Children attend their schools based on their racial groups. Over the past years, it has been found that the whites' education is more effective to the black's exaptation (Murphy, 2010). The idea behind the hypothesis that black people have lower mental capably has been proved during the achievements of black people in the world. Joseph Murphy criticizes the role of culture in the worsening of hate and prejudice among the students through inequitable treatment of the students through the race.
Advocating for Educational Policies
As a future education leader, it would be important to advocate for measures to endorse educational policies. The recommended schooling policy reflects the appreciation of diversity among the students across the nation. Diversification in the American society has increased significantly over the past years. A good leadership role in the education sector recognizes the fact that diversity is the foundation of people's strength (Perna, & Finney 2014). As part of the leadership role, the main concern of the educators should be teaching students about the need of viewing their cultural diversity as a foundation for studying their collective history. The unity of the students will result in the comprehension of the roles of students in the promotion of unity amidst the perceived threat of diversity.
Incorporating Diversity in Education
The critical component for a multiracial course is to incorporate experiences enriching students to study various events and themes from different viewpoints. The perspectives will enable the students ending up embracing the need for diversity and protect them from becoming new diversity stereotypes. Hence, all students will receive equal education opportunities irrespective of their differences.
