Money and Love

The Queen of Flowers
Rich young men descended on her to see her beautiful face and those interested in literature and art came asking for her poems. This led her to be referred to as 'The Queen of Flowers'. Madam Wang is offered some money by Squire Jin to have a night with Wang Mei. Madam Wang devised a plan to get Wang Mei drunk and have Squire Jin do whatever he wished. The program works as expected and Wang Mei loses her virginity after being raped by Squire Jin. Wang Mei is infuriated by the devised plan of Madam Wang and kept on lamenting the incidence. She is late lured by Madam Liu who is a sister to Madam Wang and accepts to venture in prostitution.
The Oil Peddler
Qin Zhong is a boy, also a refugee from Bianliang, and is adopted by Zhu the Tenth who owns an oil shop. Qin Zhong's father, Qin Liang, sold him at the age of thirteen, and his mother had passed away long ago. Qin Zhong learned the trade and became an oil peddler.
A Different Kind of Love Story
The Oil Peddler and the Plum Flower Girl is not a conventional narrative. It does not follow the conventional story of the brilliant intellectual who falls in love, but pretty concentrates on an ordinary individual who is not outstandingly eye-catching or bright, nor is he from the noble family.
