The term "change management" refers to the process of empowering, assisting, and preparing people to successfully adapt change and advance organizational goals. Although it is believed that each shift is distinct, people can still make decisions that affect how each person experiences these changes. Similarly, self-awareness, which is defined as the understanding of one's own self and the effects that one's choices and actions have on others, is a prerequisite for achieving personal mastery. The ability to accept one's views and ideals and to ensure the sincerity and congruency of interpersonal interactions and behaviors are all aspects of personal mastery. In addition, mental models promote discussion among employees, which helps to shape shared understanding. Shared vision refers to the actions and outcomes that group members want to achieve with joint efforts. As a result, people have to build common commitments and understandings, unleash their hopes and aspirations, and express the underlying resistances and reservations.
The Learning Development Discipline: Shared Vision
The learning development discipline the team has chosen is the shared vision because it enables the team members to work towards achieving a mutually beneficial goal. The shared vision enables the members of the team to forge a common meaning, focus and agree on the targets of the learning process (Senge, 2006). Accordingly, the shared vision enables members of the team to single out the improvement strategies they will use and the challenge goals required to reach the desired objective. Hence, promoting a shared vision is crucial as it gives members of the team a sense of teamwork and encourages the unity required to achieve the set goals.The Session Participants
This session participants were six employers of a business company. In the course of the project, the team will give all members the opportunity to express their ideas freely and unequivocally concerning the chosen problem that is to complete a project effectively and in a timely manner. In general, the shared vision will enable the team members to agree on its terms to accomplish this task. Obviously, the shared vision of the workers will have a significant influence on the outcomes because it will give all team members the chance to make suggestions while raising their objections. The most important advantage of this discipline is that it creates an environment that fosters the free expression of ideas devoid of the threat of victimization.Team Development Session Details
The first team development session will be held on 7 December from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The six workers will play their regular roles with regard to their job titles. In the course of the team project, employers will deliberate on a problem concerning an aspect of the corporate culture, where the issue entails laxity of some members of that affects the performance. The objective will be to find a solution to the problem and agree on the most appropriate ways of completing team projects on time. The group will be a business organization that seeks to make profits from completing projects. In line with this, the company will find solutions to the problem of ineffective teamwork that impedes the completion of joint projects.Post-Session Summary
The team development session was a valuable learning experience for all the team members. The session was successful because each of the team members gave positive contributions and expressed the concerns freely. The most important lesson learned is the need to give each team member the chance to contribute with one's opinion without the fear of retribution. In essence, creating an environment that fosters the free expression of ideas is the best way to invite positive ideas.
