Various factors contributed in the development of a mature industrial society in ancient years. The factors included the Availability of huge quantities of raw materials, such as timber, iron ore, coal, oil, and other resources. The raw materials helped in development of the industries, as there was ready availability of the raw materials that were used as inputs in the industries thus promoting the setting up of various industries. The development of new inventions and technology in the United States also facilitated the setting of various industries, as there was favorable technology that made the industrial processes somehow easier hence promoting the setting up and development of the industries. The immigration helped in providing cheap labor that was used in the growing industries thus sustaining the expansion of various firms by meeting their labor needs. Additionally, the emergence of highly talented, but often unscrupulous entrepreneurs and business leaders played a crucial role in the development of the industries. The highly talented entrepreneurs helped in growing the businesses as they had the necessary expertise and talent that propelled most of the businesses to maturity thus becoming big firms. Lastly, the development and expansion of communication mediums like telegraph played a pivotal role in the development of the industries. The communication medium helped in improving the communication medium thus helping in facilitating better and cheaper ways of relaying information between various stakeholders hence promoting the development of the industries.
