A person’s scope/dimensions of workforce diversity can be identified by establishing the kind of population and habitat constituting a society as well as changes that can be made in business (Australian Pacific College 1). Equally, it can be achieved by evaluating individual skills and inclusion of diverse groups such both genders, mature and young, and transgender in a workplace. The scope of workforce diversity can also be identified through evaluating the benefits realized by the organization besides determining whether the organization has implemented and utilized policies, legislation as well as regulation that promote workplace diversity effectively (Australian Pacific College 9).
Diversity can be factored into team plans in addition to operations by developing and reviewing work plans that promote diversity. This can be achieved through considering the skills and capabilities of the workers conducting the tasks and incorporating the positive ideas of workforce members that embrace diversity into work plans (Australian Pacific College 20). Equally, adjusting plans and operations to comply with pertinent legislation and policy in addition to designing processes that acknowledges the positive contributions of diversity will promote embracement of diversity in a workplace.
Utilization of unbiased communication processes in addition to behaviors and languages as well as understanding oneself style of communication can enhance individual’s engagement in a diverse workforce. Likewise, the practice of cross-cultural communications, equitable treatment, and acknowledgement of other workers’ contributions in addition to practice of inclusive behaviors can enhance workplace engagement (Australian Pacific College 34-37).
Diverse workforce members can be supported and encouraged through increasing their access to impartial support processes, allowing them to access workplace services equally, and providing them with enabling services such as training, resources for conducting tasks, and use of written guidance from professional bodies (Australian Pacific College 45). Equally, encouraging diversity integration, reviewing and providing feedback to workforce continuously about their compliance with diversity requirement can encourage as well as support the workforce members in an organization (Australian Pacific College 47).
