Electronic games have highly taken over in the modern era world, where many individuals have paid a great consideration of time to participate in these games. Additionally, they are more popular due to their flexibility and availability (Park and Riley 2015). More so, the individuals participating in these games tend to have better social skills and intellectual than their non-gaming peers do. In addition to the above statement, the electronic gaming community tends to have a sense of high thinking in order to qualify for the next level of the game. Throughout the game, it is composed of many challenges that the gamer has to figure them out in their way. Through this, the player will have to think more critically to develop more option of conquering the problem. The gamer tends to enjoy the game more and more while on the other side his or her mental ability is growing without his or her continence.
To begin with, individuals participating in electronic gaming tend to have better social skills than their peers do. This is because of the constant consultation with anyone who may understand his or her platform. Moreover, the continuous consultation about the games contributes to the creation of better social skills (Salvy et al., 2017). This can be highly achieved when the players are participating in a group, where one can learn the skills of his or her partner.
On the contrary, most of the children participating in these electronic games have been performing at their best when it comes to school. In addition to this, the daily problems solved in the class tends to be more natural or familiar to the problems encountered in the electronic games they participate. In fact, during the participation of these games, the individual’s mental ability develops rapidly, and the individual uses the chance to venture into problem solving whether at school or work.
According to Soga and Gaston (2016), non-gamers tend to be outshone by the gamers when provided with any test, this is due to those individuals participating in video games tend to have a possibility of a superior perception and better intellectual abilities. On the contrary, electronic games provide an equal opportunity for every individual to exercise their mental capabilities. Through this, the gamers can access their performance and improvement that encourages them to participate more and more.
