The uploaded example is one of a bad infographic because it has a flawed graph, and the colours that are used in this example clash (Knopfler 1). As such, while the y-axis helps in comparison of the crimes in the cities, it becomes complex to establish the countries and states that are futile by looking at this figure.
Aesthetically, it is displeasing because it uses several colors. Thus, a person looking at the infographic finds it complex to establish what is been communicated through the use of the different lines and designs. The design does not work well because it does not help in making the comparison of the crimes as experienced in different states. Such a design is also complex to understand and read because there is intensive utilization of colors in the pictorial drawing as depicted in the paper.
