Advantages of Humans over Computers

The computer revolution

The computer revolution has brought change to the world and how systems operate. The computer revolution has shaped and designed objects as well as shaped the type of information human receive. Computers have greatly transformed the human understanding and the world revolving around them and the universe at large. Each form of new computational technology arising has led to the development of new systems, techniques, and forms of data. In fact, computers have turned evolution into a series of revolution (McAfee, " Brynjolfsson, 2016). Computer technology has become a chain and process of innovation. The internet has facilitated these intense modifications by ensuring that people all over the world stay connected.

Input devices for perception and data entry

In order to replace human senses, computers needed input devices for both perception and data entry. There have been various improvements to computer input devices as per the current. However, there is still much more to be done because even though computers have ‘brains’ they still have to do what people command them to. What is still missing is the ability to replace human senses in the computer since they cannot function on their own. However, this can still be accomplished by changing computers to act as robots. Here, they would have a mind of their own but will still need to be programmed or told how to operate. To improve the area of perception and data entry, the amount of memory can be improved on. The biggest achievement in computer technology is the installation of programs that can deliver data and output. Computers have already installed operating systems where they can produce information asked by a human. Amount of memory storage is also another great achievement since customers can be offered the desirable amount of memory while purchasing computers (Gollmann, 2014).

Computer processors and memory

In order to be able to store data and process it like a human brain, computers needed processors and memory. The overall performance of computers is still affected by the growing gaps between processor speeds and memory. However, processor speed and memory have to be accomplished through the development of smart devices. Processers are faced with power consumption challenges and inadequate computing time to store input data (Šimůnek, Van Genuchten, " Šejna, 2016). Dynamic heterogeneity needs to be improved to avoid heat and faults arising from excess chip density. However, the greatest investment experienced in computer memory is the introduction of external hard disks for additional storage of data and information.

Computer software

In order to replace the human nervous system and be able to perform, computers needed software. Since they are constantly evolving and want to function like human nervous system, software will be able to deliver these functions. Even though the software is generated by human beings, computers use it to operate. The way they are designed needs improvement and advancement. Motherboard systems need to be improved so that it can connect to various parts of the computer, since it the communication channel to every component. Processing speeds for both RAM and the hard drive software so that computers can input quickly and deliver output inefficient way. The biggest investment in computer software is the installation of an Operating Software with the fast processing speeds to automatically respond to input. Webcams have also been installed to detect light and transmit signals via the optic lens. This easily conveys data to the computer’s CPU (McNulty, Lallier, " Gosden, 2016).

Computer storage

For supercomputers to permanently store information and data, computers require storage devices. What is still missing is the recovery software that resolves any form of challenges faced during storage such as data loss. Computers are still facing challenges in deleted, missing or corrupted data (McNulty et al., 2016). There is still a problem with corrupt system file structures and inaccessible storage devices that need to be improved to ensure 100% accuracy. Huge investment done to storage devices is the introduction of cloud computing software into the data storage system. Cloud computing caused many users switching to it due to high levels of security. Cloud vendors are obliged to not sharing details about clients’ information for the purpose of storage configuration for security.

Network and electronic communities

The computer must possess a network and an electronic community so that they can communicate with other computers. However, security threats and constricted budgets are inhibiting improvement of a network and societies wired to processors. Computers are still having issues in data integrity of loss of speed because of underprivileged transmissions. Passwords are no longer an efficient form of security technology. Cybersecurity programs should be implemented so that challenges facing networks can be eliminated and accomplish the vision of a creating an electronic community (Gollmann, 2014). Purchasing quality and affordable networking hardware including cables should be done to ensure network ‘fixing’ and cabling is properly done. Network settings should be verified and confirmed in respective servers. The greatest investment achieved in computer networks is Facebook. Computers have created a network in which people can interact and share information in an efficient way (Gollmann, 2014).

In conclusion

In conclusion, computers can’t replace human brain because they cannot adapt and learn the way people do. However, they can analyze problems and reach solutions in a faster way than humans. Man’s mind has the intelligence and capability of scrutinizing new and conversant situations in a manner that can’t be evaluated by computers. Individuals can formulate inferences from past experiences and solve problems. Computers are not in a position to investigate with different approaches as compared to human beings (McAfee, " Brynjolfsson, 2016).
