The school system developed to be the primary vehicle in whereby the state's citizens were taught how to reuse, reduce and recycle, and therefore the higher education developed to be the nation's intellectual capital custodian. In the current world, education is considered as a critical investment in the current financial state, and paramount nation's economic resources. Education is also believed to be moreover a prime military resource. Worldwide learning institutions are being considered as a nation's branch and serve state purposes (Ballantine, pg. 46).


Sociology helps in the study of education on how corporations and individuals encounter challenges that affect education and the outcome. Sociology is concerned mostly with schooling systems, including higher and continuing education. Therefore education is a positive human venture consisting of progress and betterment aspirations. Many understand education as a means of overcoming obstacles, obtaining equality in greatness, and achieving wealth and social status.


Education is a place that enables development of children regarding their distinctive needs and potentials and is also believed to be the best method of acquiring substantial social equality. Education enhances individuals to develop in full potential and helps them gain chances to attain more in life as per their natural abilities. Some authors argue that any education system helps the accomplishment of this goal perfectly while the majority argues that the education system intends to cause inequality in social production.


In the early stages of modernization in the pre-modern societies, education was used to preserve and store culture elements, retrieve and disseminate those elements. Teachings conducted in communities, families and religious groups, were directed in keeping essential ideas and beliefs alive in people's mind. In today's society education agency is required to channel the young ways of acting, feeling, and thinking through changing technological and urban founded societies.


Education gains additional functions as societies move through the process of modernization. The society's importance increases with increased rates of development, accompanied by social, economic, and political changes. As social roles of families are redefined, formal education organizations get highly involved in the process of socialization. Schools happen to be the primary implement for instilling knowledge and acceptance of the established social, cultural system. Formal education is a major path for absorbing immigrants to the system in return cultivating national unity and social integration.


Formal education impacts more knowledge and skills to students needed by a method of changing the market economic system that is beyond a family's ability to educate its members. Formal education attainment is an important mechanism for social replacement based on the principles of attachment. Schools create and transmit culture. In higher education centres scholars conduct research that enables them to discover the changes in social life. Medical research increased life expectancy. Both in modernizing and the modernized societies, formal education brings along social revisions and changes that give students a comprehensive view of the present, possible alternative view of the future, and detailed information on of how social processes function (Wexler, 2017,pg 96).


According to conflict theorist’s education institutions replicates and authorizes current social order in which by doing so some particular individuals are served at the expense of others. The conflict perspective outlines a formal education picture contrasting with modern society. Concerning this education, institution exists to promote the interests of social structure controllers and not the population at large best interest. Education is termed as a social policy in its way, in a life course outlook, and concerning other policy areas. The role of education as social policy is highlighted in four different aspects; learning as a social stratification method, significance of education providers, education as an interconnected control component, education as welfare foundation of state policies, and sustainability prerequisite in the long run (Bowe,2017,pg 124).


Education has been an important social policy instrument not only for welfare policies but for intended procedures to compact with the society's structure. The aims of education include; liberal education in which individuals is required to be developed in an intellectual and social way to the fullest capability. Socialization is considered as means of social standard and values transmission also identified as social control. The education system acts as a handmaiden hence promotes the industrial process by yielding trained workforce. The education system has been used to bring about social change. Education is the vehicle for other types of social policy. Due to its universal coverage education gives a basis for convenient welfare for children's that enhances acceptance of responsibility hence making the justification for children's welfare measures easy in education terms.


            Social growth is attained both academically and socially with self-exploration.
