It is apparent that according to Sayre and Henry (50), surrealists aim to express either verbally or through writing, the precise functions of thought. Also, the surrealists aimed at finding the tenets of conception without reason as well as other moral preoccupations. Surrealists as well aimed at ascertaining that apart from reality, there are other relations of thought that counts (Sayre and Henry 51). For instance, chances and illusions play an indispensable role in defining thoughts. Surrealists further aimed at showing the seriousness of events of awake and sleep in the efforts to proportionate thoughts of an ordinary person.
Pablo Picasso is one of the supreme artists whose works have always spoken to my unconscious life directly. He was the great founder of cubism that transformed the artwork in the 19th and 20th centuries. The use of three-dimensional artwork speaks more clearly than the two-dimension work (Sayre and Henry 51). His arts bring out meanings of what I do not understand. For instance, one of his favorite artwork is the painting named ‘the old guitarist.’ The art brings out the vivid expression of the development of music and guitarists as well. The art shows a weak guitarist playing guitar and not joyful as opposed to what one would expect. Music is associated with joy and happy moments. Thus, the picture strikes my mind with a surprise to the reality.
