However, many people fail to realize the essential role played by electronics in their daily lives regarding the easing of tasks as well as creating convenience in many ways. Through their proliferation into modern homes, consumer electronics make our lives much easier and convenient, though many people remain less appreciative of this fact. When one analyzes the daily lives of people in modern times, one realizes that many gadgets in use, as well as appliances and machines, have electronic parts inside them. For instance, when one wants to wake up early, their electronic alarm clock does the trick. Their microwave then effectively helps them warm some breakfast before they jump into their car and drive to work. Additionally, on their way to work, they listen to electronically powered digitized music, which provides much of the entertainment that a person needs. This proliferation shows that electronics are in use everywhere and it is thereby impossible to understate their value. Every new day sees more inventions come up in the field of electronics, which continually work towards making life better.


What is a microprocessor?


A microprocessor is essentially an integrated circuit that contains the various functions of a computers central processing unit (Rashid 3).


Besides computers, what other products have microprocessors


In the modern environment, many products come equipped with microprocessors in one form or another. An example is home items such as DVD players, VCRs. Toasters, stereo systems, game devices, microwaves as well as televisions. All these items come equipped with a microprocessor that aids in their operation. The modern world of today has become an electronic world with more and more gadgets come fitted with microprocessors, thus classifying them as electronically powered devices.


What current household products that do not contain microprocessors do you think will contain microprocessors in the next 20 years? Why?


As technology advances, more devices will be equipped with microprocessors (Choi et al. 629). For instance, chairs and beds can receive technologically advanced and automated upgrades in such a way that they come equipped with microprocessors so that their users can control these devices electronically.


How will electronics fit into your professional life?


Electronics are my way of life as an HVAC control technician. Each sphere of my career involves interactions with electronic devices and circuitry in one way or another. From the smallest appliance I use to the most complicated, all of them are electronic gadgets that each comes equipped with microprocessors. Electronics are thus a part of my professional life since they play an intricate role in all that I do as a technician. Almost every detail of my job requires the use of electronics that help in making work possible, such as when diagnosing issues with HVAC systems. In this regard, as more and more electronics, my life as a technician becomes more convenient and interesting.
