The Existence of Bigfoot

The Existence of Bigfoot: A Hoax?

The existence of the Big Foot though supported by various people does not have any scientific or exact physical sighting. What people mainly rely on are unauthenticated legendary stories. Therefore, it is apparent that the Big Foot story is a hoax meant to hoodwink the general public. This essay aims to provide reasons the Big Foot not only non-existent but individual stories meant to draw unwarranted attention.

No Existence of a Body

First, there is no existence of a body. There are not any dead bodies of Big Foot lying around everywhere in the forest; it does not mean that there no any animals in the woods. Because one, when animals are dying they usually can feel it and they will go somewhere safe because they feel vulnerable, so they hide from plain sight. Not to mention what a Big Foot might do with each other's bodies (Pigliucci and Boudry 500). No one is going to search every nook and cranny in a vast forest hoping that a decomposing Sasquatch is in one of them.

Scavengers

Next, scavengers. Studies prove that a deer carcass only lasts a month before it is unnoticeable it as a body when seen. Only on rare occasions have bodies of animals have seen the bodies of animals like birds or deer got eaten completely, keeping in mind they are common species. A Big Foot would is likely an endangered species, maybe about to go extinct. Critically thinking, there would be fresh dead bodies easily recognizable and laying out in the open, familiar enough for someone to easily find, then you're as dumb as you think believers are.

Poor Quality Footages

Besides, all footages of Bigfoot are of poor quality. Considering an individual finds himself or herself in the middle of the woods, exposed, and sees a huge, muscular, upright, scary-looking ape: They would be calm enough to get up close to it and hold the camera perfectly still. They would not be overly nervous, excited or horrified? It's as if these people expect film crews to go out into the woods with HD cameras on a tripod and for Bigfoots to walk right up. Additionally, there are not enough pictures and videos to support the sightings. Anybody can create a hoax by getting a costume and fake a picture to make it look better, not just make up a story.

Lack of Sightings and Fossil Remains

Further, one cannot expect everyone who sees such a shocking animal think quick enough to take pictures, sightings can be too ready to take pictures, and not everyone has a camera on them at the time. And when there is footage you say that the quality is too weak to reveal anything factual. Therefore, it is evident that pranksters develop their hoax intentionally to avoid people taking quality and numerous pictures and videos.

Third, there are not enough sightings. Assuming Bigfoot was existing, people would see them all the time. Nevertheless, most people would not report seeing a creature that someone people consider to be a fairy tale because they would be afraid of being laughed at or considered insane (Glendy). Even by their family members. A vast majority of people would not ever tell about seeing such a creature, and they would try to pass it off to themselves as an illusion from being tired or something. So the reports that do exist, and there are not that numerous, are only a small minority if these things are real. So let me get this straight.

Additionally, there are no fossils remains, which are considered a much better proof of the existence of the Bigfoot. If Bigfoot is real, there would be new fossils found in evolutionary history. Though it takes centuries for something to become a fossil, Gigantopithecus which is a large primate that may have been bipedal and may have lived in the last 100,000 years, their fossils exist (Glendy). Skeptics who claim this point do not seem to have heard of the ancient creature. Australopithecus is also very similar, but older. Hence, there exist fossils of primates very identical to Bigfoot yet none corresponds to the sightings. Further, the matter has attracted interest from few experts also suggesting the non-existence of Bigfoots apart from lack fossils to prove their existence.

Inadequate Environment for a Thriving Population

Consequently, there are insufficient resources in the environment to support a thriving population of large primates such as the Bigfoot. These creatures would be much endangered and very rare. The proponents of their existence theory also argue that Bigfoot migrate, so they do not stay in one forest. Therefore, there should have been traces of overexploitation of the natural forest resources by the creatures if they exist (Emily). Most importantly, the fact that they are endangered should have called for collective responsibility to protect them like the white rhinos. People normally go out in the woods all the time to look for them, to no avail.

Such people are mainly groups of obsessed Bigfoot fans who go out, howl and play music thinking it will attract these allegedly shy and elusive creatures who want to stay away from humans. As alleged by the proponents of the Bigfoot existence, this creature usually resides in the forest, as such it is their habitat. Animals are known as territory protectors and will come out to defend their well-being in case of a threat. Thus, further alleging that the Bigfoot is only a hoax. Besides, the sightings can be as a result of misidentification.

In Conclusion

In summary, it is evident the existence of Bigfoot is a personal creation meant to attract public viewership. In this age where everything revolves around the internet where content developers generate revenues through viewership, it might not be strange to see people make up stories just to attract subscription on their videos and commentaries. Fear can also be another factor where individuals can see upright standing bears and confuse them for these non-existent creatures. Besides, the world has advanced in regards to science and research where only a few or no animal is undiscovered. The forest is among the ecosystems that are mostly visited. Therefore scientists would not fail to sight the Bigfoot. Lastly, virtually everything in this world anchors on scientific explanation, the Bigfoot theory does not have any scientific backing in regards to remains.
