The Evolution of Art

Over the ages art has often been described to as the way of life. Art in addition is known to evolve over the generations such that it keeps improving in either the presentation or on the particular way. Simply, what really is art? Art has been described as the expression of human creativity by use of visuals and other physical representations. Recently there have been efforts which have been lauded by many regarding the recognition of artists particularly the contemporary ones. One particular project is a T.V series which have been featuring quite a high number of artists covering across a variety of the fields in art; be it in portraits, sculptures and wall hangings just to name a few. One very impressive artist I have come across in this film is Diana Al-Hadid.

Diana Al Hadid is an artist who was born in Syria in the year 1981 but later relocated to Cleveland in Ohio. Currently she lives in the New York City. Basically from that we can identify her as quite an adventurous person, not so many people can boast such adventure.

This artist has majored mostly on large scale sculptures as well as wall hangings which she has manufactured from some commodities such as fiberglass, polymer, steel, and plaster. She has almost ensured that a majority of her works are fixed on the ground with the aim of creating ‘something that seems improbable’. She outlines that she have been making drawings from her young age by the help of grandmother.

Diana has always lauded fascination as one of the things that largely inspires her pieces of art while depicting space and perspective. The artist also indicates that she has been inspired by the ancient Rome, Renaissance as well as the mannerist painting. In simpler terms art is normally driven by the normal day to day encounters as well as innate passion.

Above are just a fraction of some of the pieces of art that have been done by this artist. Many more are present in store and have been presented in a number of exhibitions around the globe.

A sculpture is categorized to as a two or three dimensional piece of art often carved out of stone or wood by molding metal. Sculptures are a very interesting piece of art since it provides the actual representation of something the way it is. A person might even be compelled to even believe that the sculpture of a person is the person himself or herself.

Secondly is the wall hangings. This is a piece of art which is often crafted for the sake of decorating a wall. Who doesn’t like his or her house walls looking exemplary? I am pretty sure that the answer to this question is none. This pieces of art ranges from fabrics to stickers among many more. This artist has ventured mainly in this piece of art by the use of fabric to make wall hangings as a piece of art.

After going through this artist’s piece of works I realized quite a number of things from them. First and foremost, most of her pieces of work are culturally based. Looking at some of the sculptures, it is easy to point out where they allegedly might have come from. Secondly it is quite an easy task to actually point out what might have inspired him or her into coming up with a certain piece of art; be it historical experiences, everyday life, among many others.  For instance the liquid city which can be found at the San Jose Museum of art can be traced back to the Renaissance, which quite like emerges as the major influencer of this artist.

On the other hand her wall hangings have been described by some of the analysts as evoking the classical architecture as well as art history. The Phantom Limb which was crafted on the year 2014 and is currently exhibited at the Burlington city of arts is a perfect example of an amazing piece of wall hanging. It is described by many as conveying a sense of loss and cessation that seems both cherished and worldwide.

This piece have been acknowledged numerous amount of times and are currently exhibited at various exhibitions all over the world. Simply it’s a clear indication of the amount of work put into them as well as the creativity behind them.
