Technology and Education

Significant changes have recently been made in the educational sphere. The learning processes are mostly the result of technology. Salpeter claims that by implementing six crucial strategies, schools can get their students ready for success in the twenty-first century. Understanding the fundamental concepts, developing learning techniques to encourage critical thinking, applying information in practical settings, teamwork, decision-making, and communication are some of these strategies. Technology for knowledge and communication is also crucial. Technology, however, should be used to supplement conventional teaching strategies rather than to replace them. Furthermore, basing the learning on the context, content and applying new assessment measures is shown to be the key to successful learning in the contemporary world. As such, the article’s effect concerning technology education in the future revolves around the efficient use of both traditional and new information technology approaches for teaching and assessing students. The article opens up the opportunity for considering new contemporary methods that will best prepare students to succeed in the technology-led society. The connection to the world beyond the classroom environment requires information technology. Likewise, students who have access to technology-based education are exposed to the aspects of collaboration, and information analysis. This experience improves their innovative capabilities and most importantly, molding them to fit into the technological workplace. Simply put, Salpeter introduces the idea that future education must consider the application of both technology and traditional learning strategies. These two elements must be balanced. Evidently, adding technology to schools paves the way for improved education in the days to come. This paper, therefore, provides the basis for considering the immediate implementation of technology-based instruction. There is every likelihood that both students and teachers will benefit from this combination. Mainly, students will engage in problem-solving and real-life activities, and instructors can utilize new technology-based assessment approaches to measure student skills yet with immediate feedback.

Impact of Technology on Education in the Future

Incorporating technology into training has significant implications for future learning. First, technology use is likely to improve teaching methods. For instance, teachers can utilize technology-based strategies including power-point presentations, videos, and other media. These digital applications illustrate to students the application of specific concepts in the real-life situations. In fact, Salpeter mentions that technology paves the way for student involvement in projects. The comprehensive participation allows them to delve deep into the course content. Secondly, future use of technology will work towards the improvement of student assessment methods. Teachers are burdened with the challenge of a holistic assessment method. However, information technology use, for example, computer-delivered tests and online assignments are not only practical but also provide instant feedback. The IT-based assessments also inform on individual and collective student scores. Additionally, the world today depends highly on information technology. Almost all spheres utilize these advancements to undertake their operations. As such, there is no better way of preparing students for a future of high digitization in the workplace than incorporating technology in the learning process. In other words, the implication of technology on education in the future revolves around the development of students with technical know-how and practical skills. Such learners will not only fit into the digitized organizations but also assist in enhancing existing technologies. Technology use will also increase collaboration and communication, aspects that trigger innovativeness. Overall, technology in learning will assist instructors in the identification of achievement patterns, meeting the skills needed for the changing IT workplace and also combining knowledge with digital innovation to enhance human-driven traditional education. These future implications translate to the creation of better, more focused and successful learning experiences that are in sync with the digital skills in the current markets. Once this balance is realized, technology-supported learning will eventually improve the lives of individual students, offer support to businesses and most of all, transform global communities.
