Over the years and in recent times there are some societal factors responsible for how people are treated on the society. These factors could either result in positive or negative reactions of the society to this group of people. Based on the above notion, this study will look at how skin color affects women in society
It is important to note that women of different colors are treated differently in society. For instance, women with black skin over the years have been subjected to a form of societal discrimination based on historical factors such as slavery and other racial factors that have affected these women in the cause of civilization. This group of women tends to suffer discrimination and ill-treatment in several aspects of their lives. Based on their black skin color, some women are not given the adequate opportunities at work and during criminal justice proceedings compared to their counterparts from other races, (Monk 33). On the other hand, women with white skins have been treated nicely and more with more respect in the sociaty because of historical concept of racial superiority. These women have access to equal societal opportunities like their male counterparts, and they are less likely to face any form societal bias regarding employment and during criminal justice proceeding, (Monk 45)
In conclusion, having pointed out the above concept, it is important to note that over the years and even in recent times people are treated differently in the society based on the color of their skin and women are not left out of this situation. Thus, women with white skins are usually treated better than women with black skin in society.
