The Importance of Sex and Love in Brave New World
The book Brave New World has extensively discussed the important subject of sex and love. The majority of the characters in the novel have experienced sexual activity, which is significant in today's society. Most people seem to be unaware of the significant distinction between love and sex. Another important problem in the context of sexuality is that of reproduction and the development of new humans. From the beginning of the book until its conclusion, the characters effectively convey the subject of sex. However, there is a connection between sex passion and reproduction. Mustapha Mond uses the word mother monogamy romance in one of his Quotes as he addresses the boys in the hatchery which is an evident or rather a prediction of the feeling that John has Again Mustapha mind quotes, “... they were forced to feel strongly. And feeling strongly (and strongly, what was more, in solitude, in hopelessly individual isolation), how could they be stable?” (Huxley 41). The great and strong feeling of love and the burning desire of sex is what is truly appearing in the world rather getting it away would make the world better. The strong feeling is the root courses of lack of humanity.
John's Desire for Lenina
It is clear that a character John has a great desire for the lady Lenina. John's desire is to overwhelming love for Lenina who has a different feeling for John but she is obsessed with sexual fantasy. The theme of sex and love reflects the modern society where people strive to acquire affection using material wealth as demonstrated in the novel.
