Cryptid refer to myths that try to explain the existence of plants or creatures that have not been scientifically described or documented or discovered by any science community. The cryptid has been discovered to be part of the tales of the ancients’ time, and the mythology about the existence of things that have not yet been scientifically proven. Cryptids are associated with the cryptozoology. Cryptozoology gives a description of pseudoscience that describes the research done to an animal whose existence has not been confirmed. The study is done to animals that have been heard from tales of the legends that existed before. The tales have been inherited from generation to generation hence there is no explicit reference guide that can lead the study to the investigated animals (Bickford 157). The study shows that the searched animals have been said to have extinct. Meaning the generation of the species of the animals died hence they do not exist anymore. The scientists in the science community have distanced themselves from the crypto zoology.
The distancing from crypto zoology gets attributed to the fact that the evidence that has been given out is not sufficient enough to prove to the scientist that the animals existence. Thus with the weak evidence, the scientist could not buy the idea of crypto zoology because the evidence could not hold up to any scientific research. Although scientists are in contradiction as others claim that there could be other species of animals that could have existed before and become extinct before they were noticed. From my point of view from the evidence provided by the scientist, it is indeed clear that cryptids are real. I am using the example of the existence of goat man. The goat men were a group of animals that belonged to the reptile category. The tales describe goat man as huge animals physically. Reports indicate that the goat man had minimal brain capacity. The estimated period that they existed is estimated at two million years ago before they became extinct. There are several evidence that the scientist came up with trying to explain the existence of the goat man. The evidence has been challenged although I agree that the evidence shows clearly that the goat man existed in the world. It requires a lot of research analysis before the conclusion on the existence can be reached. By the existence of the physical evidence of the fossils that exist in most archives, it gives a bit of proof that the goat man existed. The skeletons of the said goat man have been viewed in several museums in the world.
The skeletons are real. They do provide vivid physical evidence that in deed the goat man existed. It will not be precise to estimate the age of the fossils, but the scientists determine the extinct happened two million years ago. The evidence by pathologists give the reports of similarities of the physical structures of the goat man that exist in all continents. The similarities between the fossils provide evidence that the animals existed all over the world. The physical structure included in the fossils is that the goat men were bipedal. They used the rare legs for movement. The fossils proof that they were huge and they had horns and creates. The above physical feature gets portrayed in all the fossils that exist in different continents hence I agree that the goat man lived in the world and was evenly distributed across the globe.
The visual and audio evidence that goat man existed exists in many documentaries that were recorded. I cannot ascertain how the recording was done because the time that is estimated that goat man existed I am sure the technology could not allow the recording of pictures. There exist documentaries done fairly well by scientist showing the goat man and how they behave. The visual picture gives the viewer all the characteristics that have been described in writing. They provide even the sound and how they reproduced. The visual describes the gestation period being too long that the goat man could take years before they could reproduce. With the level of the goat man intellectual quotient, it was very easy for the goat man to get extinct because the rate of death was at a high level compared to that rate of production. Hence the adults died in large numbers as the production level was dropping hence the cause of extinction.
In the pictures that were recording shows that the goat man had chin hence it is clear that they fed on vegetation. This goes hand in hand with the fact that the goat man were huge that they could not hand. What the movement saw in pictures shows that they were too slow in movement. Therefore it could not be easy for them to hunt on animals. They ate the vegetation, and the evidence is proven on the fossils that the goat man had the chin for the chewing of the cub. The clips from various sources show that the goat man did not only chew the vegetable leaves, rather they ate on real woods. In sub-Saharan Africa where scientist shows that they were many in shows how they fed on trees. By feeding on trees, it led to the destruction of forest hence they reached a point where they lacked food to feed on. This led to their massive death (Paul 65). That could be the reason for their extinction in Africa and other parts of the word.
The video also shows the goat man with the little brain that could be another cause for their extinction. The goat man could for example stop near a log and wait until the log moves. Since a record was a lifeless object, it could not move. This got attributed to the extinction of goat man because the animal could stay next to the log for a long period until the death of itself. The clip shows several instances that the goat man could run away from moving water from the river. Rivers were the main sources of water. The goat men were afraid of the moving water yet they were thirsty. They also died due to lack of water, yet the water was available of rivers. This indeed shows that the goat man existed and died on various accounts that can be justified by their action in various documentaries videos.
From folk tales about the goat man, we get a bit of reality from what the scientist is giving us and what we used to hear about the goat man. The tales about the goat man have been put in a different perspective. Mostly in the African community where it was observed or viewed as a god the goat man was respected because of its size. It was a huge special creature that no other animal was of its size. The feared it, and it is believed that the goat man was worshipped. Since the animal was worshipped and through the description on its physical features. The tales that get passed one generation to the next generation can not alter the physical description. It the shows that the animal existed within the world and people actually saw it. This provides evidence on the reality about the animal that other evidence have been describing because the same physical features have been raised in the stories that the people who came before saw.
The tales describe the animal as a huge who walked on two feet and had a scary sound. It could predict rains when it came to the village and could lead to desert when it leaves a region. The folk stories as evidence that the goat man existed then are right when you get the description about the animal and those that have been viewed on the videos or the physical evidence that does exist in museums around the world. From the video material it is seen that there are matching items between the goat man stories with the existing features get seen from the clip hence I admit then goat man existed before and they did live on earth (Thulborn 128).
Conclusion
From the above-given evidence, I can agree with the purported cryptid existence on earth. The evidence that has been described to the people via the tale, video or picture evidence and the existing fossils among others give a lot of importance in explaining the existence of the animal. I support the existence of the animal by the fact that the evidence rhymes and have features of similarities between them hence it is clear that the evidence is directed to a similar animal. The animal remain has been found in various continents and has been preserved in the museum hence proving that the animal existed and was seen all over the world. I then clearly take a stand and agree that the goat man existed and lived although they died a long time ago.
