The man immediately catches the viewer's attention when they glance at the advertisement. The man is the focus of the advertisement since he is placed in the middle of it. He is intriguing because of his silhouette. The large weight that is held above his head only makes the weight appear to be even heavier.
The promoter aims to draw the consumer's attention to the power bar as they come into closer focus. We now understand why the weight is so great. The power bar provides energy throughout exercise. From the ad, the headline (need the power to do more) grabs the reader’s attention and therefore it holds our interest. More so, the title is posed in a rhetorical form. Yet again, the advertiser aims at creating suspense in our heads, which ultimately brings the consumer to the conclusion that we definitely need the power to do more, and to do so we need to consume the chocolate bar.
Desire
We all crave to do more and to accomplish this, we require energy to navigate our daily activities. (Bly 12). The idea that we can easily derive power from the candy bar is enticing to the viewer. All we have to do is take at least a bite of the energy bar and we are good to go. More so, the bar is inflated to suggest that a bite of the bar will instantly revitalize the consumer.
Action
By now, the viewer is probably salivating for this chocolate bar and the consumer is definitely tempted to buy one. The ad has already realized its target: To prompt the target consumers to take action.
