Security
Security is termed as the unavailability of coercion on people and goods. Today, security is seen as a basic need on either private or public sector. Thus, global organizations have given it a priority in guarding both the high income and the low-income nations.
Public and Private Protection Services
In America, public protection services are provided to individuals whose property is at risk of damage. There are clear policies that have been enacted to guard public enterprises in the US (Desai, 2017). On the other hand, private protection services are offered to firms which deal with personal data like IP address, cookies, banking system and other undertakings (Barau "Stringer, 2015). Countries which operate under the EU union have a GDPR system which secures individual property from unlawful access.
Private Security Firms
Apart from public security services, countries are financing private security firms to offer protection on life and property. For instance, the US has firms like ACADEMI that provide safety to people and property (Barau "Stringer, 2015). It was established in 1997 by a former Navy Seal called Erick Prince. The organization was given a contract in 2000 to train nearly 100,000 sailors in the US (Desai, 2017). There are also other firms like the Northbridge group that has its headquarters in Kentucky with a total value of $50.5 million. Moreover, companies like Triple Canopy, GK Sierra, Guardian Protection, Frontpoint, and many others give fantastic private safety services in the US.
Impact of Private Security Guards
However, the existence of private security guards has imposed some undesirable effects on the public goods in America. For instance, some companies have produced guards with little necessary safety skills hence giving burglars an easy way of confiscating items. Moreover, some private security firms have not been well equipped with technology and security information (Barau "Stringer, 2015). This has enabled the protection of public goods to be ineffective in the US.
Conclusion
Lastly, security determines the level of prosperity of a country. However, companies must train their officers properly to curb unlawful acts in the world. Also, they must have a sound financial base to afford safety equipment.
