Philosophy and its Relationship with Religion
Philosophy is a study that acts as a guide towards the fundamental nature of reality, existence, and knowledge more so when taken as a learning discipline. The human behavior is accustomed to following certain principles set out by the underlying morals and theories. However, religion plays a major role in ensuring that human behavior is molded towards certain ways and following of set rules commandments) but the law and other determined disciplines and morals used by the society offer a more emphasis on enhancing what religion teaches. Despite philosophical fundamentals being enacted from religion morals, philosophy segments such aspects in divisions that are combined and set out to every human being.
Personal, Moral, and Aesthetic Values
The major philosophical values known to be used in the world are divided into personal, moral, and aesthetic. The values are segmented in ways that sum up the laws and ethics within different societies in the world. It can be determined that various cultures exist and there are different ways of passing ethics or morals to the coming generation through stories and examples that can be used within different settings. Personal philosophical values are set towards having a good time with family members and loved ones where the value is created to recognize the importance of every person within the reach of the environment people live. Morals philosophical values include offering freedom to the public, fairness, well-being, and equality. Though certain values used to evaluate institutions are categorized under political values. Every state, nation, or city enacts laws based on religious values. But the religious values are used as guidelines towards enacting rules and policies that can give various ages and groups in the world. Education is known to be the key factor in the success of all professions in the world and offering such a philosophical value to any coming generation is a mandate of every parent to ensure education and other basic needs have been provided to children. Religion quotes that a husband should toil to meet family needs while wife should take care of the family by utilizing the resources offered by a husband. The sense of bringing up a new generation in a good manner is stated by religion but not well explained for everyone to understand unless an interpretation is done by a professional or anyone who has an idea on making such a point clear. Philosopher Plato mentioned, “no man should bring children into the world who is unwilling to persevere to the end in their nature and education.” Religion teaches people to take responsibility but God never appears to offer physical and visible punishment to act as an example to the entire but offers revelations on what could happen when the end of the world comes to an end. Issuing philosophical values that when violated can be punishable and served as an example to the world for a better change than believing on religion that is never implemented to the fact that punishment is offered under critical conditions. It is stated in the Bible that wages of sin are death. Some of the deaths occur in a natural way due to old age or the term of living comes to an end. It can, therefore, be concluded that following a set of philosophical set of values is a more effective worldview than sticking to religion.
