From the author’s point of view
From the author’s point of view, the concept of Christianity is the first aspect that is more interesting. From the readings, Christianity enabled people to start focusing on nature and areas that could affluence the lives of people. According to Peter, religion improved the way of living as it made them think critically about matters that seemed difficult during previous centuries (20). There was a significant change in the social, economic, and political life of individuals (Hamilton 26). It is much interesting that men and women began having equal opportunities in all aspects of life.

Furthermore, an aspect of the European movement that has been presented by the author is quite captivating. The period acted as a turning point of human life. The era has been referred to as “the age of enlightment” (Hamilton 23). It was a unique period as people began realizing how modernism was more beneficial as compared to traditional life. Besides, it is interesting that women like Catherine the Great started advocating for the plight of women, particularly in Russia (Peter 30). Women began professionally accomplishing crucial tasks, something which had been ignored for a more extended period.

Hamilton also argues genuinely when he highlights the enlightment of women in the society (36). The period of enlightment was a time when the society had realized the importance of each person, regardless of their origin. Also, the author presents well his points when he states that Christianity ushered in a new epoch to the realm. It is true that Christianity brought moral values and sanity to the society. The points which are discussed resemble other course readings like the article on the gendered racial violence and the spatialized justice, which advocates for the need for equality and the rights of women in the society.
