Is it that someone lacks humanity? Does it cost to have humanity? Some people have shown humanity to others and become a blessing to the society. The Holocaust is a period where mass murdering occurred under the reign of the Nazis lead by Adolf Hitler. He aimed to wipe out the Jews from existence. Therefore he ended up conducting killings that were over six million Jews.
Humanity offers the people a chance to feel pity and take it upon themself to help others. The Jews during the Holocaust were in desperate need of help. A few people took it upon themselves to help the Jews by giving them the refuge they needed. Taking care of them and hiding them to prevent them from being attacked and ultimately murdered. Lots of people suffer when peace gets disrupted. It not only affects people directly but also affects the generations to come. The holocaust was a terrible time, and survivors give a story of what challenges they faced. How life was during the period. Hatred was the primary cause of the problem, and in understanding what extent hatred can affect the people then one can determine how to help a particularly vulnerable group.
The actions of some people were detrimental to the society while others were highly appreciable as they showed kindness and humanity to their counterparts. By taking risks, Nicholas Winton and Frank Foley, took upon themselves to save lives. They saved lives of people that extended from one person to generations of people in the Jewish community. They put the need of others before theirs and with what they had. They even moved further to ask for help to ensure that they protect and help the Jews during these problematic times. It is acts of humanity such as these that are remembered widely and given credit for the lives these men saved (Pollock).
Ultimately, showing a sense of humanity to others is what keeps the society as a unit. There is always a way one can show humanity to others. It matters a lot even though it may seem like just a small act of kindness.
