The Importance of Living a Godly Life
The article by Reinhard Feldmeier expounds on how we are supposed to live in the society. According to the article, we are supposed to present the character of God in our lives. Similarly, Romans 1:16 explain how "the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith." According to this verse, human beings are supposed to be righteousness like their Heavenly Father. Feldmeier also describes God as a Father full of compassion. According to him, God is merciful to all. It is as a result of pity for mankind that He rescued Israelites from Egypt. The argument by Feldmeier is also supported by Romans 1:16-17. These verses talks about "the power of God to salvation," which correlates with the gospel of Christ. Christ refers to the Messiah who brought salvation to the world. Feldmeier argues that God saved mankind in the New Testament through the Messiah just like the Israelites in the Old Testament through Moses. In other words, the God's love has no boundary. He loves all, including sinners and the faithful.
The Need for Forgiveness
Feldmeier also emphasizes on the need for mankind to forgive those who wrong them in life. According to him, God treats every person regardless of their sinful nature equally. He regards every person as His being. In saying this, Feldmeier was calling for human forgiveness to those who trespass them in life. In support of this call, Habakkuk 2:4 explains how human beings have received justification and forgiveness from God. Since we are in the image of God as stated in 1 Corinthians 11:7, we need to behave like God by following His actions. We are justified because we are faithful that God forgave us. Similarly, we should forgive others to glorify God. The article manages to accomplish its goal and the conclusions and analysis are supported by scripture allowing readers to relate to the views presented in the article.
