Tattoos and Piercings: Issues of Body Modification and the Workplace Annotated

Introduction
Body modifications are currently at its peak. It has undergone a number of generations up to the current century. The author in his article examines the following with regard to tattooing and body modifications;
1. The statistical growth of body modifications through tattooing and piercing. According to the author “in 1936 it was only estimated at 10% of whole Americans had tattoos but currently, it is difficult to examine the demographics of the current generation with tattoos and body pierces.”
2. The author examines that with tattooing taking a lead, body piercing is also at a closer range.
3. The author also illustrates the challenges encountered by a tattooed or a pierced body in the sense that most people have a bad attitude towards them.
4. Another factor that the author looks at is the job opportunities and employment, with regard to decision making in response to a person with a modified body. He/she the body modifications are likely to influence the decision-making.
5. The legal aspects behind body modifications and their justification as well. The author under legal issues he says “Tattoos and pierces can be mutable hence they do not automatically receive any legal protection”
6. The author provides advice both technically and legally towards persons with modified bodies.
The article maintains a view that being tattooed or pierced or modified body wise does not add either should it influence decision making in job opportunities and places of work. People put on tattoos for various reasons like an affiliate of a certain society or a certain cult. It is evidently clear that the author brings to the attention of the general public that tattooing and piercing is not a big deal and therefore people should not be disregarded under such considerations. The current generation has made body modifications a culture and some a style. The intention of the article is to educate on the issue of body modification.
