The style and the content of Devine's article are reasonable given that the arguments raised were well supported with a reliable proof. The article is not evenhanded because in the social media especially weather forecasting department people need to speak with one voice but when a member is always criticizing the work of scientists and not giving compliments to those that were correct indicates biases. The language used is balanced, there is no evidence of ambiguity or simple terms (clichés) in the article. The words used by Devine to describe those who disagree with her are easily discredited and dramatic. Devine quoted Sir John Henniker Heaton. The source of this information is credible because it is in the record that Sir John Henniker made the discovery. The arguments given by Devine are reasonable and logic because there are those scientists who misguide people regarding climate change. The evidence provided is that Sir John Henniker found that temperature records from 1879, "At 1 pm the thermometer was 54C in the sun."
Devine concluded that the climate scientists are not sure of their work because very few of their discoveries come to pass. This was not reasonable because several scientists have discovered a lot of things about the climate which are right and have happened or are still happening. The purpose of Devine is to relieve the public of the pressure that is imposed on them by scientist because some of the reports given can even create panic within the public. The assumption made by Devine is that the climate scientists don't conduct their research well. I don't agree with Devine because people invest their time in researching before making the information public. The connection with other articles is that they criticize climate scientist. The difference is that this article has credible evidence.
