In the vicinity of the 3rd Street and the 9th Street NW on Constitution Avenue sits the magnificent National Art Gallery museum. It is among the best collections of human artworks in the nation (Cooper & Harry 1978). In particular, the museum houses portraits that stand out in the exhibitions and chronicle the evolution of human arts and architecture. It is open every day from mid-morning until 5:00 p.m. Historically, it helps in collecting, preserving, and displaying the portraits in order to develop and the human cultures in the society (Smith & Tyler 2)
Experience of Interest
On the 8th day of the month on March 2017, I was privileged to pay a visit to the museum. It was fascinating to interact with the host of historic cultural portraits of our times. Numerous portraits displayed historic works. I was interested in the various events in this museum. First, the display was one of its own in the entire premise. It impressed because it was difficult to understand the categories of the art archives as displayed. Moreover, there was a peculiar sculpture, where a woman, drawn holding an image of a snake and a symbol a fruit, reminded me of the historic relationships in the religious content.
Relationship with the Class Work
Shakespeare’s play on Romeo and Juliet is, perhaps, the most famous love story (Rogers & Jami 670). In this story, we learn that the passion of love can transcend the anomalous boundaries in the society. Likewise, in the modern society, the fear of snake is a typical tale among many people in the communities. The portrait of a woman holding a snake marks the resemblance to the power of love in the older stories.
Relevance to Routine Life
Routinely, people live and work in places, where nature and humanity interact. Perhaps our most endangered aspects of life lie in the tragedy of ignorance. Art plays a very crucial role in our social development. It captures and retains the memories of famous achievements as fresh as the day they were captured. In this way, the museums unite people from all walks of the society in solidarity to embrace our culture. It is, actually a good experience to interact with different from different cultural backgrounds. It builds our social norms in the societies.
Emotions
Such portraits can raise mixed reactions among many people in the society. However, it teaches that the human history, based on their relationship with nature, impacts on the unity amongst us.
Cultural Experience Report #2: A Visit to the Smithsonian Museum
The Smithsonian museum was established in 1974 by Joseph Hirsh who collected the most important pieces of art in the communities and the city. It is situated at the edges of the 7th Street alongside the Independent Avenue to the Southwest of the National Mall. The museum forms a hub for numerous modern arts that enumerate the contemporary issues in the society. According to the management, their opening times start from 10 a.m. and they close at 5:30 p.m. It is an exhibitioner in the modern arts and revolutionized techniques in arts (West & Richard 152).
Experience of Interest
Ideally, the level of decorations and paintings in the museum was a catchy technique which attracted many people into the premise. I realized that paintings and artwork play a great role in social communication and relationships. The choice of color and paintings was one of the most exciting experiences I have ever had. It was impossible to stare over the colors frequently without getting bored at all times in the museum.
Relationships with Class Work
Paintings are the most critical components of arts in the society. The display in the museum confirms the importance of paints in arts and culture as they correlate to the show of talent and passion in the society. I liked the general organization of the rotary system. However, it was difficult to understand some of the modern works, presented on the exhibition.
Emotions and human culture
During the exhibition, I was sad because I could not explain the content of the portraits. Nevertheless, the physical contact with the theoretical aspects of art enabled an understanding of the use of paints in this museum. Technically, this museum is an excellent premise displaying the most recent techniques in arts.
