Communication is critical in any writing since it is used to persuade and inform people concerning an issue (Roy, 2012). For that reason, the paper will analyze whether arming teachers with guns in the classroom is likely to decrease mass school shootings and finally conclude.
Arming Teachers with Guns in the classroom will not decrease mass school
shootings
Arming teachers with guns is not a solution or away of eradicating mass school shootings. It is because it will be more challenging for teachers to teach students and at the same time carry guns (Muschert, 2012.).
The issue of mass school shootings cannot be reduced by arming teachers because it will create more violence among teachers and student (McKelvey, 2017). Therefore, this will occur since learners will feel more insecure while being taught by teachers who are armed.
Arming teachers is one way of increasing gun possession among civilians in the country. As a result, it will not minimize mass shooting, but instead, it will create the high level of insecurity to students in schools (Schildkraut & Hernandez, 2014).
On the other hand, arming teachers with guns is a good idea since they will help keep most schools secure (Gerard et al., 2015). Armed teachers can easily respond to any shooting that occurs near schools, and for that reason, issues of a mass shooting can be controlled easily.
However, arming teachers is not a good idea as it promotes a high rate of insecurity among students and teachers in school. The idea of increased gun possession has intensified, and it is not a result of teachers being armed in schools. Armed teachers can as well teach student by creating a mutual relationship, and therefore teachers being armed cannot create more insecurity in the country.
Conclusion
The counterargument and rebuttal paragraph offers an opinion for both sides of an argument. Hence it minimizes biases in the essay. Also, the reader can understand both sides of the argument concerning the topic. Credibility was also achieved in the paper since it offers a professional way of responding to the topic
