One of the school programs that I would legitimately be interested in applying is a probation and community control program. The program would entail volunteering to work with the community and experienced probation and community control officers with the aim of helping convicted offenders become better and productive members of the society. Such will also ensure that they do not turn into repeat offenders. Engaging in the program will equip me with knowledge and skills on the process of working with the community to monitor persons on parole and probation and ensure that they adequately meet the conditions that have been set by the court system.
Applying for the program will require a variety of documents. It will include a certification that I am pursuing a major in criminal justice. The certification will show that the program will help me in my future career where I intend to become a probation and community control officer. As such, the program will be essential in equipping me with knowledge and skills on matters of helping convicted offenders to become responsible members of the society. Furthermore, I will provide my CV that will list some of my strengths, especially in the performance of community service, which will in turn help in securing my eligibility for the program. I will also provide my application statement that I will use as a means of expressing my interest in joining the program.
The audience will be the program’s coordinators. I will use audience analysis to create a persuasive job packet. I will have a perfectly drafted application statement. Such will be made in copies according to the number of the panelists. I will state that I am pursuing a major in criminal justice and that I have an interest in becoming a probation and community control officer.
