September 23, 2018, we can see two groups seated by tables and chairs set behind open trunks of hunchbacks. The people seem to be happy as they interact and try to have a merry time. Certainly, if you view this picture closely, there are a couple of questions that seem to run through your mind concerning which celebration or event is ongoing and certainly where is it taking place. The mood in the picture is one of joy and one that captivates the viewer’s ability to socialize with others both familiar and new faces. The people captured in the picture seem to be enjoying and getting along really well, bringing the idea of family get-togethers or neighborhood barbecue parties.
Image Analysis
Every image has an intended idea that intends to be brought out when viewed and analyzed. Therefore the picturing being subjected is not any different. There is a clear and deeper reason as to why the image is as it is. Bob uses a fully colored image in order to bring out the real situation as it is. Looking closely, all the individuals in the picture seem to wear attire that is blue in color. The capture of this fact does not seem by chance but I guess brings out the idea of fans of a team that could be defined by their blue team kit. The fact that the picture is also taken along a place with neatly parked vehicles is also another clue to the idea being intended to be captured. Bob’s basic intention was to bring out the culture of tailgate parties and their importance to team spirit and relationship building. Before discussing the general context of the picture, we clearly need to understand the history and hence the significance of Tailgating parties to fans. The conception of this intriguing culture can be traced to over a century back ("The Tailgate Party; A Brief History"). Although its specific roots cannot really be said with Brown formulating three most probable speculations for the roots ("Cleveland Brown Football News, Schedule, Roster, Stats"). However, one thing that is really clear is that the tailgating tradition and culture is growing and held close to the hearts of the American football fans.
Imagine having a wild party or just having a psyche up party hours before a game that you so much anticipated.
Imagine instead of stressing yourself out on how the outcome of the game would be or how well the rivals are prepared, channeling all that energy to bonding with your similar team's fans over drinks and food. Looking at the image, I know you can really feel that bonding atmosphere as the people drink and eat. Bob in his image, captures that mood of anxiety being translated to sheer happiness and joy as fans mingle and tingle. The image also brings out a view that is different from the normal negative view that tends to see tailgate party as a reckless rated ceremony where all sorts of social misfits are carried out. The old perspective of tailgate parties was that of drunkenness and nudity with wild party freaks venting out their dangerous team spirits but this picture contradicts this. People are socializing while grilling meat and talking, a socially responsible gathering that would not even make kids feel left out. The semi-Arial view from which the photo is taken is totally remarkable, allowing us to see it from two different groups.
Conclusion
Pictures are more than just visual assets. They communicate a message that is intended to intrigue and inform the viewer. Bob's image gives that exciting feeling of how tailgating develops the team spirit and makes the viewer feel part of it.
