Indeed the player has demonstrated beyond doubt his ability and love for the soccer game. His achievements in the field of soccer are dominative and seeable. Having been contracted by Manchester united, the player worked day and night to demonstrate his talent to satisfy his favorably high pay. Cristiano played for his team, the Manchester united which through his efforts also obtained the FIFA title for that year (Rees 221). Again, the awards he brought for his team, the Manchester united is still fresh and has never been realized since he left the team. For instance, in 2008, he made the team to earn the premier league title for the third time consecutively (Vamplew 11). His contributions to the team made the team maintain the top best teams in England.
Cristiano Ronaldo has been rated as the best player by the FIFA. In 2016, the player won the best player title for the fourth time (Castañer 741). In fact, he competed against Messi and trounced over him. Moreover, he also emerged a victor in the various games he played for that year. For example, he made his national team-Portugal, to win the European championship against France (Coupe, Gergaud and Noury 361). Cristiano was the team’s captain. Although he did not play the match fully due to knee injury, his inspiration for the team made them win the cup.
At the onset of his playing, Cristiano has always earned good salary. To begin with, at the tender age of 16, Manchester united contracted him for £ 12million (Coors 65). At this age, this salary was very high. However, he did not stop there; he explored his skills so well that by 2009, Real Madrid decided to contract him for a whole $131million (Coors 68). This new pay made him quit from the Manchester united to join his current team-the Real Madrid.
His payment scale increases with his playing skills. In 2017, he maintained the best paid player title for four years in a row. His salary stood at $93million (Vamplew 8). In addition, Cristiano Ronaldo was the highest paid professional athlete for the year 2017. Lastly, his net worth stands at $400million as rated by the celebrity net worth, 2017.
In summary, Cristiano Ronaldo is the best world player. His awards and the high salary scale are the key indicators of his performance. They are a manifestation that indeed the player remains a giant in soccer.
