Employee Satisfaction at Facebook
Employee satisfaction is also known as job satisfaction, and it involves determining the way employees are satisfied or pleased about working at their jobs. There are different factors which are used in assessing employee satisfaction; the factors include; the compensation that the workers receive, the perception of the management, workload, teamwork, resources provided and flexibility. According to several surveys that have been conducted, Facebook has been named as one of the top companies to work for, the surveys conducted, are not based on the company’s input but the input of the employees.
Factors that Make Employees Contented at Facebook
According to the employees of Facebook, some of the main factors that make them contented working at the technology firm include; the impact that the firm has, the culture established at the company, the compensation that they receive and the management of the firm especially the company’s chief operating officer, Mark Zuckerberg (Inc n.p). The employees stated that at their workplace, they do not have routine days and activities, this means that there is no typical working day at Facebook. This provides flexible schedules for the employees. According to the employees, the firm has created an office environment which encourages them to be open and collaborate with other employees. The company also offers plenty of perks to their employees, for instance, the firm provides free meals, health check-ups, laundry services, haircuts and many more other services. Apart from these perks, the company also ensures that the employees enjoy convenience, the company allows the employees to go on paid leaves when there is a need. The employees also stated that the company values all the employees and the input that they give on various projects that are being undertaken by the company. There is also an elaborate communication system within the company, through this communication system, employees can receive communication from the management and vice versa.
