Community Foundation for Southern Arizona`s website is pretty dull. This is due to poor graphics which seems to be outdated thereby making it unattractive. The site of the organization should be designed by a professional to achieve an attractive image of the website, therefore, capturing the attention of a new member and potential donor.
Font Size and Readability
The font used in the organization`s website is quite small and not easily readable to potential donors. Faint ink which is a struggle to read can make a new person assume the page and term it as irrelevant thus ignore it. A [times new roman] of font12 should be used since it is neat and easily visible without the struggle. Darker ink should also be used during typing of the information to increase its visibility and reduce the effort for people with poor eyesight.
Organization and Prioritization
The website should contain several pages to decongest information on the first page. Information should be prioritized according to its importance and relevance to capture the attention of its audience (Tobin and Natasha 2005). This will create an excellent first impression of the website and make it easier for new members to browse through information and access it quickly. Its mission and vision are quite long and difficult to grasp by new members. It is advisable to use minimum words which can easily be understood and remembered but at the same time delivers the objective of the organization.
Contact Information
An email address of the organization should also be included in the first page of the website in case of difficulty or inquiries. The site consists of fax and phone numbers that are to be contacted in case of anything thereby discouraging the physically disabled people example the dumb. They may want to communicate or have an inquiry but have no immediate platform to consult unless they browse and dig deeper into the internet thus consuming their time.
Social Media Outlets
In today`s society, there are a variety of social media that people use for different purposes. There are social media`s which are efficient in posting photographs, videos or texts. The following are some the social media outlets that can be used:
This is one of the commonly known and used social media tools. Majority of the nation`s population have a Facebook account. Therefore, it is an efficient way of relaying information to the public since data can be shared with different groups and different people can also be tagged. It can be accessed by devices that have internet access thereby making it reliable since most devices have an internet access option. The post should be made clear and simple to read since people care about exciting and more comfortable commercials and articles. The organization can post photos of other branches in other counties and the positive impact it has brought upon the society. The advert can as well include videos making it elaborate and easy to understand by the targeted audience.
YouTube
This is a social media tool used for posting videos. CFSA can create an account and post videos of its activities. These will inform the public on what it entails. It can record videos of its day to day activities and progress thereby informing the public and attracting more donors to the organization. It should set a regular schedule of which it posts its content, and it should stick to it. It should also engage its subscribers by actively participating with them by responding to comments, compliments or complains. YouTube is the most used platform worldwide where people post their video contents and a large number of persons get the opportunity to review and express their views concerning the content. As a result YouTube is the most reliable way to reach the audience due to its ease of access and larger number of target audience.
Twitter is commonly used in posting phrases and texts. It is one of the most active and widely used media for people to socialize and exchange different ideas and opinions. It is a platform that is used by the majority of celebrity therefore with a good image and positive impact to the society; the organization may capture the attention of influential people who will publicize of the organization`s achievements hence attracting more donors to its campaign. Hash tags are a standard way of creating public awareness by starting a topic in which other people can see and respond. This helps in the exchange of information between people of different regions. Tweets like "unity lead to a stronger community for today`s and the future`s leaders. For CFSA to be successful in relaying information on twitter it should write great posts articles and post them regularly to have an active audience (Turney and Michael 2000). It should often post on matters relating to its objectives, such issues such as environment, art, animal welfare, positive affairs which will show its dedication and effort on reaching its desired goal. To improve the convenience, responses from the potential clients should be studied closely and desired responses addressing the adjustments made accordingly.
