Press Release: CFSA gives an Announcement to the Public about their Capital Campaign Program
TUCSON, Ariz., (April 5, 2018) – The Community Foundation for Southern Arizona is at this moment announcing the public stage of their capital campaign program. The project targets the construction of a new CF branch to serve the community by acting as a home to various initiatives and programs of the organization. The campus would be part of the organization’s 20-20 centers and another one offering technical assistance to the society. CFSA has managed to raise approximately $3 million. However, the firm has a target of $4 million, meaning that the organization has collected 75% of the total amount.
“The Campus will serve as a point where professionals and experts mentor people, there is a natural flow of collaboration, and people openly share knowledge,” said Clint Mabie, the CEO of CFSA. “We believe the natural flow of concepts will develop from casual conversations and we will reduce overhead and simplify daily activities to help nonprofits obtain high levels of effectiveness and creativity.”
About The Community Foundation for Southern Arizona (CFSA)
The organization is based in Tucson and funds the community in providing grants to regions that deal in arts and culture, environment, animal welfare, human and health services, community development, and education. CFSA makes a collective impact where individuals, businesses, and families with unique ideas, passions, and interests hold the funds and help in transforming the world. The organization has diverse sources of funds as their collective work relates to all life aspects. The firm takes the role of facilitation, education, convention, and collaboration as they directly work with the government, nonprofits, partners, and the business community. The group operates in philanthropic activities to enact and inspire long-term solutions to societal issues.
Capital Campaign Purpose
The reason behind the capital campaign is to create a center that provides space for collaboration among nonprofit organizations operating in Tucson, Arizona. The Board of Trustees of CFSA found out that the CF main center had outgrown the original location by 2015. When the organization’s committee took a look at their expansion alternatives, the only best path was following their 2020 strategic plan. As a result, the idea of building the campus was formulated to accommodate the growth of the firm.
Target Donors
The target donors for the project include the Thomas Brown Foundation, which has provided their support by accepting to organize new campaign contributions and in March 2018, dollar for dollar added up to $250,000. The completion of the marching gift happened in April 2018. Other targets include Kerstin Block, Arizona Bowl, Tony " Rosella Dabdoub, Mary Ann Dobras, Jim Click in memory of Willie Moore, Darryl and Mary Ann Dobras, Hopper Family Foundation, Dr. William E. " Margaret Ann Horst, Bob " Lisa Swift, Kevin " Jill Madden, the Troller Foundation, and Stocker Foundation. The president of Thomas Brown Foundation said, “We are ready to contribute to and support the Community Foundation’s capital campaign targets to help in the completion of work on their new CF Campus project.”
