I had always had this saying that money grows on grass and not on the trees. However, I never understood what it meant until I started working are a receptionist in a Golf Club. I realized the sense of tranquility and utility from nature as I interacted with it. Golf Clubs are places where people go to release themselves from tension and work-related stress. On a daily basis, people will always visit rest parks and the Golf clubs with friends to enjoy the peaceful nature. Also, it is one of the convenient times that we interact with friends away from the routine career tasks. From these experiences, we always realize that we need a break in our daily lives to have a sweet moment with nature. My workstation was found behind a significant mall that hosted the famous Carrefour supermarkets. Here many people used to come for fun, and others for shopping. At the Gold, there were several elements and signs such as paths, grass, blocks that implied the uniqueness of the place. This was a place of comfort and tranquility.
The main entrance into the Gold has split paths. One leads to the left, and the other is direct to the major club. A flower bed is used to break the entrance towards the left. As one gets in, there is an impression of a peaceful and serene environment. The flower scent welcomes you as you walk along the left path towards the playground. Before the flower bed, there is a sign with arrows that indicate and signal direction in front and the other one to the left side. The signs have the indication of hole eighteen and hole one respectively. This signal keeps the mind relaxed. However, as one walks towards either hole, the escape journey starts. The flowers are well trimmed with mixes of different colors. Birds find their source of happiness from the blossoming of the flowers just like the humans.
At the Golf Club, there are tee blocks which are decorated in different colors. These decorations are meant to signify talent and skill levels. At the entrance, there are also flowers and other artwork that demonstrates excellent skills. Different colors were used in indicating the nature of the blocks. Each of this painting had a particular meaning. For instance, the blue blocks were meant for those golfers who thought themselves as pros, but in the real sense, they are not. On the other side, there were blocked coated the natural color white. Also, the coloring of these blocks has a symbolic meaning concerning age. Also, the white blocks are meant strictly for those male golfers who are under the age of 60. This demarcation indicates that those playing the white class cannot be allowed to join the blue ones. Also, there were other blocks painted red. These were only meant for ladies of different ages. For this type, there was no age lamination, and all women could be allowed access. Around each block, glass was cut in a manner that they were all visible. Glass cutting around each block was a representation for the beginning of a new play. There was no other sign to indicate that the past is gone apart from the cutting of glass up to a sure inch.
As one gets to another hole, the realization of the best and the favorite club comes. Here the peace and tranquility of the game are experienced. The driver is the club that tells the intention of one’s coming to the golf. When a person hits a bad shot, it shows the chances of being unsuccessful in the subsequent changes. However, for fun, shots cannot be upsetting when one hits a bad shot. With friends, there is laughter and encouragements as one plays along. Even if you are not happy with a lousy chance, friends, and people watching you can be the source of joy and encouragement. In case the balls far away from the same hole on subsequent trials, still one cannot be discouraged if playing for fun. However, professional players will always pay attention to hit the holes. Thus, friends and the club members are part of the nature that people will still enjoy at the Golf club. I never used to like gold. However, I developed an interest as a result of the influence from the friends.
Besides the holes, there are natural ponds and a small hill on the other side. Different tree species also characterize the place. Much of the shots that don’t get to the hole will be found in these trees. Trees are used to separate tee boxes from greens. These features are meant to protect all shots and ensure they get to the right holes. After the completion of each hole, the elements also give a guide for the next move. The hill is flat at its top. Looking like a crater. Cutting of grass is done in a way that a rolling ball can get into the hole. Think grass shows that balls cannot move towards the hole. After a shot, players will always walk towards the direction of the ball. The putter is used in making shots, and also, the grass heights are meant to show the strength of each shot. Many people in the Golf would always follow the shot grass towards the hole.
The mode of dressing, at the gold club, always defined how different people viewed nature. People could come in pants, others in their work attire. However, serious players were easily identified by the kind of wear they put on. Also, the dressing mode signified the type of respect different people accorded this game. For instance, those with long pants and collared shirts demonstrated that they treated the sport with a lot of respect. Others who come in with work boots and official attires only seek to have fun. As people leave the place, you can easily tell who came for what purpose and how the regarded the sport.
In the US, many people don’t take backward steps in their lives. Golf clubs have been used to help people refresh from their routine chores. People have the chances to play up to the 18 round hole. Different signs used at a golf course have their significance. Also, it is a common practice to see people take beer in the direction of their playing. Others have sweet moments enjoying the natural breeze and serene environment before getting back to the healthy lives. From the birds, the grass, the green trees, and water, people interact with nature. After the golf, other pass through the nearby supermarket for shopping before getting to their homes or place of work.
