After learning that cooking an egg entails denaturing of its proteins content, I would like to innovate an egg cooking method that does not use any source of heat.
The ingredients needed
In this case, the ingredients that are required comprise an egg, alcohol and a bowl.
The cooking process
I will place the egg in a bowl and add a specified quantity of liquor to it. The egg will start to cook after a few minutes, but I cannot guarantee that the end product will be more delicious than the egg cooked by applying some sources of heat.
Protein denaturation
The egg will cook following the principle of protein denaturation. From the researches that I conducted, I learned that cooking an egg involves protein denaturation which can be obtained through boiling or frying. However, another source indicates that addition of chemicals such as alcohol can also help in denaturing the proteins contained in the egg. It means that when the egg is placed in a bowl with alcohol, the reaction will change their 3D structure, hence cooking.
Further research and experimentation
I enjoy my innovation, and I would like to conduct more research to help design me a specific bowl used in cooking an egg without applying heat. More so, I will spend most of my time in the biology laboratory conducting different experiments using other compounds that might work as alcohol. I can also perform some other experiments from the kitchen to assert the truth.
Conclusion
In conclusion, an interaction of the egg with the compound (alcohol) enabled it to cook. Conversely, some people might think that I am trying to experiment on whether the egg is fresh or spoilt rather than cooking.
