The causes of Climate Change Globally

Climate change is the adverse conditions of the climate that are resulting to overwhelming and uncontrollable effects to the globe. These effects of the climate change are caused by the reckless human activities and this trigger nature to engineer hazardous and dangerous paybacks. The human activities causing the climate change include the following but not limited to; emission of greenhouse gases to the atmosphere, change of land use to extend human settlements to the protected forested lands, deforestation, electricity generation, agriculture, and transport. The fastest growing sources being transport and the electricity. These leave us with uncertainties about the nature and scale of long-term impacts, with a wide margin of error. Some of these expected uncertainties of the climate change could result to potential impacts that could be irreversible and speed up the process of global warming such as; melting of the permafrost which can lead to more release of the greenhouse gases such as the methane (Fremstad, Anders $ Mark 2017).Body

This report entails the causes of the climate change globally. These causes range from the industrial human activities and the wrong policies in place contributing to the climate change globally. Climate change is a global problem affecting the different parts of the globe, different governments and organizations have established policies and measures to amend this adverse situation. These include the worldwide attempts, international United Nations approach and the various treaties made between countries in regards to the climate change. The international reactions made to create a binding rule of the emission reductions. Some of this policies, targets and binding emission rules created a change which is the desired solution while others failed due to the forces obstructing the process of reducing climate change.

Major causes of climate change across the globe is the greenhouse gases. These greenhouse gases are those which causes greenhouse effect when subjected to radiation. This means they form a layer that cannot be penetrated by the long radiation waves from the earth surface after they bounce back from the earth. These gases include the following; water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane, halocarbons and the nitrous oxide. These greenhouse gases capture almost 78% of the energy in the up going thermal radiations emitted from the earth the surface. The greenhouse gas with most adverse effect is the water vapor resulting to almost a percentage of 65% of the entire gases in the atmosphere, this is mainly because water is available naturally on the earth surface-oceans, lakes and the rivers. When water is heated it evaporates to the atmosphere and it condenses to form the clouds and it can function as an insulating layer to help keep earth warm and it can as well reflect and scatter the incoming sunlight. These greenhouse gases are mainly from the industries, agricultural and transport systems on the earth surface. (Watson, Robert T., et al. 1 (1990): 17)

The rule of law has played a big role in targeting ways and means or minimizing the emission of the carbon or the greenhouse gases into the atmosphere of the globe. Some of these include the more than 100 countries implementation of a global warming limit of 2 °C or below (relative to pre-industrial levels) as a guiding principle for mitigation efforts to reduce climate change risks, adverse environmental impacts, and damages.

The establishment of studies that focus on ways of reducing the climate change, for example, the study that examines attitudes to tourism and climate change among residents of Hong Kong and assesses their willingness to voluntarily modify travel behaviors to minimize the environmental impacts which will, in turn, contribute to the climate change. On the previous studies conducted on environmental behavioral change recognized a significant gap between awareness and action, with some studies even suggesting that the most aware individuals are unlikely to change their behaviors. Additionally, similar findings on the same topic in this study indicated that creation of awareness and environmental sensitization could result in the reduction of the climate change. The study focused on a cluster analysis identified four cohorts of tourists, ranging from the regular international tourist to the least travel active. The regular international tourist group was most aware of global warming and climate change, but least willing to alter its travel behavior. Similarly, the less travel tourist is likely to heed the awareness and change adapt the best ways of best contributing to the reduction of the climate change (Lorenzoni, Irene, Sophie, and Lorraine17.3-4 (2007): 445-459)

Climate change threatens the health of human population globally, but particularly in developing nation or the low-income countries. Due to these adverse effects and health consequences, governments collectively acted with resolutions and urgency to solve and reduce the worldwide greenhouse-gas emissions. For example, the government of the United Kingdom to reduce the emission of the greenhouse gases into its atmosphere it focused on ways of upgrading the life of the poor by advancing their ways of cooking, transport, and agriculture. By doing so, the way of life of the poor acted right and reduce the emission of the greenhouse gases into the atmosphere (Wilkinson, Paul, et al. 374.9705 (2009): 1917-1929)

Conclusion

The European nations have enacted trading schemes to ensure only countries bound by certain policies are going to trade within their schemes to cut off the nations not adhere to the rules and regulations set to target the reduction of the greenhouse emission worldwide. This was a Bonn political agreement and the Marrakech accords which were reached in the year 2001 and this gave way for endorsement and into the force of the Kyoto Protocol. The compliance of any country with the first commitment period of the protocol of the 2008 and 2012 required all implementations of the all emission reduction measures, which was made possible when the source of emission is known (Boemare, Catherine, and Philippe 43.2-3 (2002): 213-230).

The problem of climate change has reduced slightly though it is still taking place in different parts of the globe, and this implies better and current measures to fight the climate change has to be established to fit the fast changing human activities which are the great causes of the climate change. The eradication of the problem has to be done by the entire world to achieve a lasting solution and also to better the human health and life.
