An Argument Essay
An argument essay is also known as a persuasive essay which focuses on stating a position on an issue by providing reasons that are supported by evidence. Writing an argument essay will require an introduction, the main body, and the conclusion of the essay within a specified topic (DeLaPlante, n.p). The conventional structure gives the essay a framework for laying down the complex ideas which create the argument. Therefore, an argument essay will have two sides of an argument whereby the author will argue on both possibilities.
Main Body of an Argument Essay
An argument essay will start the main body by giving an explanation of the thesis as well as offering the reasons and support of the main claims. Writing an argument essay will need the support of the topic followed by their reasons. Similarly, the essay will be followed by the author revoking the argument and provide support to the claims. Therefore, the argument will have two conflicting sides of argument followed by evidence and support for the claims (DeLaPlante, n.p). However, the supporting arguments should surpass the objection evidence in the argument to make a claim reasonable. Furthermore, the objections offered in the essay should be based on minimal error towards a topic rather than an entire disregard of the topic. The objection might be an issue generated by the negligence of a mistake which can be avoided hence; the objection should not be used to disregard a certain object discussed in the argument essay.
Conclusion of an Argument Essay
The conclusion of an argument essay should consider the positive side of the argument concerning the discussed topic. Moreover, the conclusion helps in educating the reader what the author thinks about the topic in a discussion (DeLaPlante, n.p). Therefore, the conclusion should help the audience in obtaining the author's point of view as well as explaining the reason behind the variable objections in the topic.
