Several states have passed legislation that discriminates against one race. In certain nations, for example, youths must bargain for nearly ten minutes before voting. North Carolina, for example, has eliminated early voting for those under the age of eighteen, while in Texas and Tennessee, one cannot vote with a student id card. In comparison, the names of Georgia's teenagers were missing from the voter rolls. Furthermore, disillusionment with the former administration discourages young people from voting or engaging in politics (Pilkington, 2014). Furthermore, others assume that the votes of youths are negligible in terms of affecting progress.
Causing of Change
Foremost, the modification of the stringent regulations against the voting age and documents to use for those yet to attain eighteen years old (Pilkington, 2014). Allowing students to use the school identification card would be crucial. Also, change the priority of leadership where one purpose to serve the population satisfactorily to avoid disillusionment. Furthermore, creating awareness that the youth's votes are the most important because of the large number would encourage the group to vote and participate in politics. Therefore, the government needs to encourage voters registration through social media, physical visits to the schools or using electronic forms such as the internet.
I would create the interest through lobbying with various agencies that support the youth to advise the government on the importance of involving young people in politics and voting. Also, using multiple platforms to educate the young people like the schools, the use of social media, using posters such as booklets, posters, banners, billboards, and pamphlets. Moreover, an organization of mock elections would help the young people have the experience and note that the voting process is not as hard as some perceive the exercise to be.
