The wealthy, middle class and the poor

The population of the United States can be classified into three groups: rich, middle-class, and poor. Each category has distinct characteristics that set it apart from the others. The wealthy have a lot of money and believe it should be saved and invested in their businesses. The middle class is primarily dependent on jobs and has a significant amount of capital that must be prudently handled. On the other hand, the poor are mainly unemployed, work in low-wage employment, and believe that money should be used or invested. Since they eat their meals in restaurants, the rich are concerned with food representation. Whether they like it or not, middle-class people are worried about food safety. On the hand, the poor are mostly unemployed, take menial jobs and think that money should be used or spent. The wealthy care about the representation of food since they eat their meals from restaurants. Middle-class people care about the quality of food, whether they like it or not. On the hand, the poor care about the quantity of food and whether someone was satisfied or not. Wealthy people view the world as an international platform for conducting business, and that is why they always emphasize on globalization (Ford, 2017). The middle class people see the world from a national perspective and are always willing to work for any company within the U.S.A. The poor see the world from a local viewpoint, having close ties with their families and willing to stay at home or to work within their states.

The wealthy highly value their time and hardly trade it for money. They appreciate their traditions and past, which enables them to make correct decisions based on the decorum. Middle-class people value their future time, and this is why most of their decisions are made against future ramifications. The poor value present time and are willing to exchange it for money. Most of their decisions are aimed at assisting them to survive at the moment. The wealthy use language to communicate nicely with other individuals to make connections throughout the world (Ford, 2017). Middle-class people use their language to negotiate and believe good communication skills will enable them to acquire jobs. The poor use language for survival. This means that language is mostly used to help them get some essential commodities such as food, shelter, and clothing.

The characteristics of these people are interrelated because these people require each other to survive and maintain their social class. The wealthy people mostly own big businesses that are managed by the middle class, while the poor individuals execute menial jobs. This is made possible by the fact that poor people are will to sell their time, while the rich are in a position of buying such time (Ford, 2017). The poor people always find themselves working for money because they believe money is for spending, while the wealthy invest and the middle class people manage most of their financial transactions.

The issue of solving poverty has become so hard because most of the people are unemployed as result of the 2008 economic recession. Up to date, the number of individuals living in poverty has increased by 15%. Currently, many poor people are employed on a part-time basis. The owners of these businesses are exploiting these poor workers, and that is why they are paid low wages while the companies are making hefty profits. Jobs are being created at a lower rate than the rate at which the labor force is increasing, giving companies a privilege to employ their workers at the wages they are willing to pay and not what the workers are ready to work for in their positions. Another reason why poverty has been increasing at a steady rate is due to the emerging single-headed households. Many poor people tend to come from matriarchal families as the whole family depends on a single individual who can also have an unstable and low-payed job.
