A broad course that includes several subdivisions, the supply chain career is. The necessity to buy (procure) resources for a company triggers the urge to choose this particular career. Depending on how passionate a person is about a particular career path, they choose to specialize in it.
Due to the advantages it will offer for my development, I prefer to be a supply chain analyst. The study entails a thorough examination of a certain target, in this case, the supply chain. I would make every effort to ensure that the analyst position that was given to me would be carried out flawlessly. The position of a supply chain analyst, I would be able to put my research skills and analysis expertise into practice, thus observe and assess the related outcomes. I would work tirelessly towards improving my performance. Moreover, I would make sure to acquire the knowledge of how to predict and assess the processes involved in the supply chain, which is one of the main duties and responsibilities of the position. The career broadens when it comes to different commitments. I believe I will be able to incorporate changes as they occur in the relevant field. While in this area, I will make sure to promptly and correctly detect problems associated with procurement, do a thorough investigation using my skills, and identify the cause of the difficulties, hence provide solutions. Additionally, my desire to translate my classwork, especially generating reports and monitoring of the various logistic compliance, gives a mileage of the need to venture into the sector (Nahmias, 2009). Working long hours is one of my weaknesses. The reason behind it is to ensure all policies and the standards of the organization are maintained.
The chosen career entails sacrifice regarding time so as to ensure that the conducted analysis is reliable, and the managers can use it to make strategic decisions. Data analysis tools and financial analysis constitute a part of the activities undertaken. Therefore, I suppose that if the organization engages competent personnel, then it will be possible to achieve a reflection of transparency in the supply chain path. The mentioned supporting statements make the career attractive.
