As an Evangelical Christian, I hold the following beliefs. The New and Old Testament scriptures have supreme power and divine inspiration, according to evangelical Christians. They believe that the Bible is God's word, that it is essential, and that it can correct any authority; they also believe that the Bible is completely trustworthy (Gal. 1:8-9). The church believes that it has a biblical obligation to do so, and that it is the safest way for us to live (McGrath 120).
Personal View
According to my view, I believe that the Bible has, or some part of it has unjust and primitive ideas on a certain group of people. For one to promote justice, one must reason beyond the bible. It, however, contains relevant information that guides human on the proper way of coexisting in society. It also guides us on ways of maintaining and preserving the environment.God, the Holy Trinity
Belief as an Evangelical Christian. Evangelist Christian believes that there is one God the creator of earth and heaven. They also believe in the Holy Spirit as one being one being with the Father and son. He is the one that convicts the world judgment and righteousness (John 8:58). I think that the trinity is the truth, life, and love. From a personal principle, God is the only immortal being that exists. Jesus is the son of God. He was the one that was promised to human being as our savior. I view the Holy Spirit as the guide in everyday Christian life.Humanity and Sin
Belief as an Evangelical Christian. Evangelical Christian believes that the first human was created in the image of God, with the ability to make decisions and have relationships. He was created to glorify God, but due to his rebellion in the Garden of Eden, all humankind is sinful by nature and has the penalty of eternal separation from God and death. Evangelical Christians believe that sin comes from a deviation of God's teaching. They believe that the forgiveness of sin is granted through grace and by faith to believers (Torrance p. 56). It can only be received as an utterly undeserved gift since the glory and credit are in Christ alone (Rom 11:16).Personal View
I believe that God was the creator of humanity. That man was created in his likeness and image and with only one purpose which was to serve God. The man sins when he acts against the will of God. When this happens, he or she is eligible for punishment though it can be forgiven through acceptance and repentance.Person of Christ
Belief as an Evangelical Christian. Evangelist Christian believes that Jesus Christ is God the Son. He lived a sinless life and sacrificed himself to save humankind from sin. Jesus was crucified, and on the third day he died and was resurrected (Matt. 1:23). He now sits on the right hand of God the Father. His sinless sacrifice was for full payment of our sin.Personal View
According to my view, Jesus was a son of an ordinary man and was sent as a prophet of God. He lived a holy life on Earth with only one true purpose of serving and glorifying God. He lives to be a good example for everyone, and through enumeration of his deeds, one sees to inherit the kingdom of God.The Work of Christ
Belief as an Evangelical Christian. Evangelical Christian believes that through the work of Jesus on the cross, we received salvation and it was only the source of our salvation and forgiveness. Christians should, therefore, do great work so that they can receive salvation and forgiveness of sin (Acts 18:31-33). Christians should always be ready to follow the footsteps of Jesus as a way of showing full commitment to his teachings.Personal View
In my opinion, it is everyone's duty to take care of his neighbor and the environment to ensure a better living for everyone and a healthy environment where we exist peacefully. Jesus acted as a good example for humanity, and we should always be ready and willing when it comes to helping those in need.Soteriology
Belief as an Evangelical Christian. Evangelical Christian believes that soteriology can be described as the nature and extent of the atonement and the whole process of salvation and as a divine, eternal plan that is meant to rescue erring and lost sinners and bring them to doing the will of God (Mark 161:16). They believe that it's the saving of the human soul from death and sin (Rom 9:30-33).Personal View
I think that soteriology is the main theme in the scripture and as what God expects and is willing to see from human beings. The soteriology of Christians ranges from personal salvation to universal reconciliation. I also believe that salvation is made possible by the work of Jesus dying on the cross.Ecclesiology
Belief as an Evangelical Christian. Evangelical Christian believes that the Church is a community of believers being led by Christ (John 1:7). It is under the fellowship of Christ-followers in which the word of God is preached by men having received a divine call (McGrath p. 76). The church is used as a place for worship the redemption of the world and edification of believers.Personal View
I believe that Jesus is the founder of the church and that Christian fellowship is important as it aids one in staying focused on the journey to the Promised Land while still strengthening each other's faith. I think that the presence of Jesus is found in places where one or two souls meet.Eschatology
Belief as an Evangelical Christian. Evangelical Christian believes in the eschatology, especially, that the second coming of Christ is a rational hope and an inspiring to the people of God (Thess. 4:15-18). They believe that he will return in a bodily form to fulfill all the prophecies that were made concerning his triumph against all evil (Torrance p.235) and that the second coming of Christ is an inspiring and rational hope for the people of God (Titus 2:11-13).Personal View
In my opinion, there will be the second coming of Jesus Christ where he will come for the believers. All human beings should remain prepared for his second coming by repentance of sins and act according to the will of God. I also believe that it is the responsibility of the believers to spread the gospel to non-believers so that they should be enlightened about Christ and his teaching.Works Cited
