This paper examines the process work and final design. The essay focuses on the sketching process, abstraction, the construction of experimental models, and the articulation of final models from various angles.
The first step in design is for each artist to sketch a concept (LaViola & Keefe, 2011). Sketching, in turn, allows us to not only discover but also illustrate design ideas. Sketches are also simpler to make by using paper and a pen. Nonetheless, using permanent items such as a marker is often sufficient. The objective is all about keeping the sketch rough, and fast, which is assists in concentrating on the faster creation of ideas. In my case, the sketch is a natural portrait which is the human body of my son while playing on the IPad, lying down (Figure 1). Consequently, I concentrated on the arm region and created four drawings of my design.

Abstraction process
Abstraction process entails eliminating unnecessary details from a design to capture important features. This process requires inductive reasoning, meaning identification of common features to a number of incidents and developing a model capturing basic elements. As such, during abstraction process, I had created four designs (Figures 2a and 2b) and presented them to my class to get their views. They alleged that the designs were two dimensions as it was the requirements. In art, abstraction is not just a process but also the movement of art. Generally, abstraction perspective is reflections o objects using devices that re-depicts objects of attention. Possibly, all objects being 2D represents abstracts from 3D objects. While abstraction process is contentious in art, in my design focused organic approach of abstraction technique that is the human body of my son. This technique tends to be geometrical in nature as well as in an abstract expressionist structure.

Development of Experimental Models
In the experimental models, I used four drawing of my son's arm as demonstrated below

Final model articulation
Based on my classmates' feedback, my final model was 3D body rather than the arm. This is because the arm was stiff and the movement could not be compared to my son's body. In my final model articulation, when viewed from a different perspective it is evident that it is elements and principles of art (White, 2011).
The movement which is reflected through a path based on the way my son's body is placed.
Balance, that is realized through the weight of the image
Emphasis to demonstrate importance that is deliberately utilized to pass a message or feelings
Proportional; this is demonstrated by various aspects in the creation of the image. For example, my son's body is proportional to the surface he is lying on.
In the end, the essay was about the analytical process of my work. It also presented the importance of abstraction and sketching processes in design. Developmental experimental models and final image articulation were also presented. Apparently, in the final model articulation, there are a number of elements such as movement, balance, proportion and emphasis when viewed from different perspectives.
